Implementation Consultant, Solution Deployment (18‑month contract)
The Implementation Consultant is responsible for guiding customer stakeholders through the implementation process and possesses a demonstrated expertise of clinical and technical processes related to pharmacy, nursing workflows, and BD Medication Management Solutions technologies. Projects range in scope from small hospitals to large health system level implementations requiring standardization across provinces or regions. The Implementation Consultant will work with the customer to gather customer requirements, define best practices, design decisions and consult in the development of policies and procedures. The Implementation Consultant performs the required tasks in alignment with the toll gate implementation process to ensure timely Go‑Lives and customer satisfaction. The Implementation Consultant must have the ability to establish collaborative working relationships with cross‑functional and interdisciplinary project teams.
Job Responsibilities
Leads customer site and workflow assessments and facilitates the project design and implementation phases for BD Medication Management Solutions.
Provides team support and product, clinical and technical information related to BD Medication Management Solutions.
Manages customer stakeholder teams, gain consensus within teams and delivers concise and consistent communication.
Facilitates conference calls and customer meetings to progress the design and implementation goals in collaboration with the BD and Customer project managers and teams.
Establishes rapport with customers that is conducive to long‑term business relationships.
Demonstrates problem solving, troubleshooting and system consultation as it relates to pharmacy and nursing best practices in Medication Management workflows.
Demonstrates knowledge of pharmacy/clinical workflow processes, pharmacy formulary builds, hospital, retail and long‑term care & pharmacy system integration, clinical device settings, interface validation (ADT, billing, patient profile), user account role design, active directory.
Demonstrates critical thinking and ability to aid customers in improving current business and clinical practice and operations.
Installs, validates and trains end users on the use of BD Medication Management Solutions technologies (software & hardware).
Maintains documentation related to customer projects, expenses, compliance documentation and reports.
Education And Experience Required
Bachelor’s Degree or College diploma (Business, Science, Health Sciences or similar field).
Must hold a valid Canadian license as a pharmacist (RPh), or a Pharmacy Technical Assistant DEP, or a Pharmacy Technician DEC, which is equivalent to an RPhT.
5 years of related work experience in a medical device or healthcare environment with clinical and technical involvements.
Knowledge And Skills Required
Experience with IV Workflows, Sterile Compounding.
Fluency in English (read, speak, write)
Strong verbal and written communication, consultative and learning skills.
Strong decision making, problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
Detail oriented, able to multi‑task and implement complex projects consistent with established BD and customer objectives.
Possess excellent organization and time management skills, with the flexibility to readily adapt to change.
Proficient with MS Office Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, OneNote, and CRM (Salesforce preferred).
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of Infusion, Dispensing and Pharmacy Automation technologies. BD PharmacyKeeper™ preferred.
RN or IT professional certification will be considered, with relevant experience in pharmacy workflows.
Experience working with clients in hospital, retail and long‑term care pharmacies, an asset.
Demonstrated ability to effectively train users on product usage and best practices.
Effective working knowledge of the Canadian Food and Drug Act and Regulations, GMP Regulations and Guidance, Medical Devices Regulations, NAPRA Standards, and ISO13485:2016 an asset.
Fluency in French preferred (read, write, speak).
Physical Demands
Physical ability to lift at least 40 lbs as needed. This position may involve pushing, pulling, stooping, bending, and lifting.
Work Environment
This field‑based position (BC, AB, SK, MB, ON, QC, NS) requires up to 50% travel, with the ideal candidate residing near a major airport to facilitate travel across Canada. Travel may fluctuate based on project and team needs.
Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and a past clean driving record for a minimum of 3 years, as well as meet BD’s auto safety standards.
Attend training on assigned BD instruments as required and must be able to travel to the US for training purposes within the first 6 months of employment and periodically thereafter as required.

Le consultant en implémentation doit être capable d'établir des relations de travail collaboratives avec des équipes de projet interfonctionnelles et interdisciplinaires.
Responsabilités du poste
Diriger les évaluations du site et des flux de travail du client et facilite les phases de conception et de mise en œuvre du projet pour les solutions de gestion des médicaments BD.
Fournir un soutien à l'équipe et des informations sur les produits, cliniques et techniques liées aux solutions de gestion des médicaments BD.
Gérer les équipes de parties prenantes chez le client, obtenir un consensus au sein des équipes et assurer une communication concise et cohérente.
Faciliter les conférences téléphoniques et les réunions avec les clients afin de faire progresser les objectifs de conception et de mise en œuvre en collaboration avec les chefs de projet et les équipes de BD et des clients.
Établir avec les clients des relations propices à des relations commerciales à long terme.
Démontrer ses compétences en matière de résolution de problèmes, de dépannage et de consultation sur les systèmes en ce qui concerne les meilleures pratiques pharmaceutiques et infirmières dans les flux de travail liés à la gestion des médicaments.
Faire preuve d’une connaissance des processus de travail en pharmacie/clinique, de la constitution de formulaires pharmaceutiques, de l’intégration des systèmes hospitaliers, de vente au détail, de soins de longue durée et pharmaceutiques, des paramètres des dispositifs cliniques, de la validation des interfaces (ADT, facturation, profil des patients), de la conception des rôles des comptes utilisateurs et d’active directory.
Faire preuve d’esprit critique et d’une capacité à aider les clients à améliorer leurs pratiques et opérations commerciales et cliniques actuelles.
Installer, valider et former les utilisateurs finaux à l'utilisation des technologies des Solutions de gestion des médicaments BD (logiciels et matériel).
Gérer la documentation relative aux projets des clients, aux dépenses, à la conformité et aux rapports.
