We're looking for people like you to help make it happen.## Job Summary:The Senior Manager, Digital Product embraces industry trends, emerging technology, and the needs of a changing work environment to deliver innovative solutions to help drive digital transformation across the Standards Organization. The Senior Manager, Digital Product owns and manages a portfolio of digital products in various development stages. They are responsible for the technical alignment of their portfolio with CSA’s technology direction. They work with internal and external stakeholders to identify market needs, develop business cases, secure funding, and develop effective digital solutions to help transform the standards organization. This position has a strong business and technology orientation and maintains a close relationship with internal and external partners. The Senior Manager, Digital Product collaborates with the leadership team to develop a multi-year strategic plan that aligns with the organization’s vision and strategy for their product portfolio along with KPIs/Metrics. They will actively identify opportunities for their current portfolio of product solutions to meet the needs of a new market or user group. The Senior Manager, Digital Product must possess a unique blend of leadership, marketing, business, and technical savvy. The Senior Manager, Digital Product grows the innovation program and digital products in new and existing areas. They will be accountable for delivering results, including promoting the use and application of new digital solutions. The Senior Manager, Digital Product interacts and manages VP-level stakeholders. The role excels in collaborating with internal and external experts, ensuring the “voice of stakeholder” is embedded into end-to-end processes and digital products.**Responsibilities:**Knows the Business* Identify digital product development opportunities that relate to digital transformation to create new business and drive operational efficiencies with Standards’ Leadership team.* Lead the definition of a multi-year vision, strategy, and roadmap for the digital product focus area (i.e., Standards Development, Education, Research, Advocacy) working closely with stakeholders within digital and the rest of the organization.* Lead multiple problem discoveries at any time to understand stakeholder/end-user needs, current challenges and work closely with design and development partners to come up with solutions.* Use data to drive decisions. Build hypothesis, test & iterate to formulate an agile product development approach.* Define clear outcomes and goals for each program with associated KPIs/Metrics to ensure success and alignment with the overall vision and strategy; define the “What” and the “Why” as part of problem discovery.* Build and effectively manage relationships across the organization and our Standards Development and Education leaders to identify/respond and understand their ongoing needs and ensure that the strategic direction aligns with the direction for our Innovation team.* Orchestrate a cross functional team including marketing and change management to define effective roll-out plans for product launches.* Evangelize the product - share success stories and new product launches through effective release notes and demos.* Leads market, user and competitive analysis to identify future opportunities of growth for their product; establish self as a subject matter expertise* Understands and keeps up to date with emerging technologies, trends, and innovative solutions especially in the artificial intelligence and machine learning space.* Mentors and manages a team of product managers; reviews output produced by team members and provides feedback as needed* Understand how the organization’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.* Understands the industry landscape and how CSA Group products compare to competitive offeringsWorks Well with Others* Develops relationships with significant external and internal stakeholders to identify new digital product development funding and/or opportunities; leads proposal negotiation, development, and contracting as required* Team player, collaborates across Standards and Technology to achieve CSA’s strategic objectives.* Maintains relationships with external technology providers to ensure CSA can effectively maintain visibility of, and leverage, technology advancements. Represents CSA Group externally to ensure that current and future business needs can influence product direction through active participation in user groups, conferences, and technology councils.* Identifies individual, team, and organizational development needs and ensures career goals and development plans are in place to support them. Promotes cross-training and knowledge transfer through effective use of consultants and external resources to ensure that CSA Group is viably self-sufficient within assigned area of responsibility.* Assigns individual employees and external resources to specific initiatives, balancing the needs of the individual with the needs of the enterprise. Monitors staff budget, staffing permanent vacant positions with support from HR/external placement firms, as needed.* Interacts with staff and stakeholders on technical or functional issues as required.* Participates in IT or Business meetings as appropriate.* Makes strategic presentations to executive leadership* Represents CSA Group professionally to external audiences and develops long-term strategic and business relationships with key stakeholders.Delivers Results* Develops positioning documents, business proposals, and business cases using data-driven decision making to identify viable opportunities that fit with the strategic objectives of the portfolio, as applicable* Participates in annual business planning and monthly revenue/cost forecasting; takes corrective actions as required to address potential shortfalls* Provides regular management reporting and analysis* Works with the digital product development team to ensure that new and revised products are delivered on time and meet contract requirements* Identifies subject matter experts for digital product development and instructors for courses, if applicableConcern for Safety* Identifies hazardous or potentially hazardous situations and takes appropriate action to maintain a safe environment for self and others* Recommends improved safety procedures where appropriate* Identifies potentially unsafe conditions in the workplace* Analyzes to avoid hazards in the workplace**Education & Experience:*** Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related fields, or equivalent work experience* 8 + years of digital or emerging technology (AI/ML) product management experience* 5-10 years of people and project management experience* Strong verbal and
