B&A Studios, a CIMA+ company invites applications for a SeniorLandscape Architect to join our Urban Planning & Design team, providing support to our Infrastructure Design Groups across Western Canada. While the position will be based in Alberta (Calgary or Edmonton), the successful candidate will integrate into our existing WesternCanadianLandscape Team (locatedin Edmonton and Vancouver). This role involves delivering high-quality landscape architecture and publicrealm design work, supporting multidisciplinary teams, and contributing to projects across Alberta, British Columbia, and Saskatchewan. The successful candidate will bring strong designvision ,

technicalexpertise , land development experience, and project management skills to a broad portfolio including design guidelines, streetscapes, parks, trails, transit corridors, public infrastructure, and private-sector development. Business development, client relationship building, and proposal support are key components of this position.Placemaking and storytelling experience is considered a strong asset, including the ability to translate local culture, history, and community identity into meaningful design narratives that enhance the character and user experience of public spaces. Primary responsibilities Work collaboratively within multidisciplinaryteamsincludingour planning, transportation, infrastructure,buildingsgroupsand more. Develop public realm and site design, from concept through to construction completion. Oversee the development ofaccurateworking drawing packages,technical specifications,cost estimates, tenderdocumentsand construction documents. Assistin the preparation of presentation materialsfor public consultation. Support business development and strong client relationships. Ensure compliance with required design principles and standards. The ability to conduct tree inventories and complete arborist reportsis consideredan asset. Contribute to team leadership, mentorship, and overall growth of the Landscape Architecture practice. Prepare and coordinate drawing submissions for municipal approvals (development permits,building permits,construction drawings, landscape plans). Communicate effectively with municipal reviewers, utility providers, and regulatory bodies to resolve comments andfacilitateapprovals. Conduct site visits, inspections, and construction reviews. Provide construction-phaseand project close-outsupport including interpretation of drawings, addressing field issues, andissuing redlines andchange orders. Qualifications

Degree in Landscape Architecture, or equivalent Minimum10 years of experience in Landscape, Architecture,or Engineering Consulting environment Ability to manage multiple project deliverables with overlapping schedules AALAstamp a requirement Membership,or eligibility for membership,in BCSLA and SALAa strong asset Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Strong Microsoft Office suite skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with SharePoint environments Familiarity with Bluebeaman asset Knowledge ofCADD2024 and Civil 3D 2024an asset Familiarity with Photoshop,InDesignand other graphic programsan asset Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle for site visits B&A Studios is one of Western Canada’s leading planning, design, and engagement consultancies , now part of the CIMA+ family - one of Canada’s largest privately-owned engineering and consulting firms.
