Job Description

BESI is a premier Ontario glazing contractor specializing in high-performance, unionized building envelope solutions for the province’s most complex high-rise and ICI projects. We are seeking a high-caliber Vice President of Sales to join our executive leadership team and spearhead our next phase of growth. In this role, you will be the architect of our sales strategy, responsible for securing multi-million dollar glazing contracts and aggressively expanding our standalone Service & Maintenance division.

Required Qualifications

Deep Glazing Expertise: Extensive experience within the Construction Glazing sector (Curtain Wall, Window Wall, Storefront, and Building Envelope).

Ontario ICI Network: A proven, active network of senior-level connections within Ontario’s Tier 1 General Contractors (e.g., PCL, EllisDon, Bird, Pomerleau).

Growth Initiatives: A documented track record of successfully leading and executing strategic growth initiatives that resulted in measurable revenue and market share increases.

Key Responsibilities Executive Sales & Market Strategy

Architect and execute a multi-year sales roadmap for Ontario’s high-rise glazing market, focusing on high-value Unitized and Stick-built systems.

Leverage your existing Rolodex of Tier 1 GCs and Developers to position BESI as the preferred partner during the design-assist and pre-construction phases.

Drive a “Margin-over-Volume” strategy, ensuring all pursuits align with BESI’s profitability goals and operational capacity.

Service Division Hunting & Expansion

Proactively hunt and capture new business within the property management, REIT, and facility owner sectors to grow the Service Division independently of construction projects.

Develop and negotiate high-value Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and preventative maintenance programs that create long‑term, recurring revenue streams.

Identify and convert “distressed” building opportunities (leak investigations, glass replacement, envelope failures) into BESI service contracts.

Strategic Oversight & Integrity

Maintain a disciplined, data‑driven pipeline using Procore and CRM tools to provide precise revenue and cash‑flow forecasting for the executive team.

Collaborate with Estimating and Operations to ensure seamless project handoffs, protecting the “Doing It Right the First Time” promise from the first handshake to final closeout.

Industry Leadership

Foster a culture of extreme accountability, safety leadership, and professional excellence.

Qualifications & Requirements

10+ years of ICI construction sales experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role specifically within the glazing or building envelope industry.

Proven Growth Record: Ability to demonstrate specific instances where you scaled a division or territory through proactive sales initiatives.

Technical Fluency: Deep understanding of unitized curtain wall systems, structural glass, and Ontario Building Code (Part 4/Part 9) requirements.

Union Savvy: Experience operating within a unionized framework (IUPAT) and the ability to sell the value of a highly‑skilled union workforce.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction Management, Engineering/Architecture, or a related field (or equivalent industry experience).

MBA is an asset.

Proficiency in Bluebeam, Procore, and modern CRM platforms.

Compensation
