Director of Corporate Finance

Director of Corporate Finance - 6 month Contract About the Opportunity

Lead HQ accounting operations including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and travel claims.

Oversee treasury management, including cash flow forecasting and strategies to optimize returns.

Ensure effective financial policies, procedures, internal controls, and documented accounting systems are in place and monitored.

Oversee timely and accurate monthly and annual close processes.

Maintain proper accounting records and compliance with Canadian GAAP for Charities and all regulatory requirements.

Identify and mitigate finance-related risks.

Strengthen financial reporting to support executive decision-making.

Prepare materials for Finance Committee, Audit Committee, and Board meetings.

Coordinate annual financial statements, T3010 filing, and other statutory reporting.

Oversee management reporting and financial analysis.

Lead annual budgeting and forecasting processes aligned with strategic priorities.

Provide strategic financial advice to the COO on resource allocation and risk.

Lead and coordinate the year‑end external audit process and liaise with auditors.

About You

CPA designation required.

Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in a finance/accounting leadership role with responsibility for the full accounting cycle.

Strong expertise in budgeting, forecasting, treasury, financial reporting, and compliance in the charitable/non‑profit sector.

Experience managing audits and working with external auditors.

Demonstrated leadership, strategic thinking, and financial analysis skills.

Pay Rate $55 / Hour
