EDUCATION ASSISTANT - TEMPORARY Princeton Secondary School 5.5 hour per day - 1 Day/week on school days only EFFECTIVE: February 2, 2026 - June 26, 2026 or return of incumbent SHIFT:

School days only - exact day and time of the hours to be determined by the Administrator

SALARY:

Starting wage is $32.40 per hour. QUALIFICATIONS:

As per Job Description, plus: EA Certification POPARD 5 Day - Autism training POPFASD PBS - Positive Behaving Support CPI -Non-Violent Crisis Prevention Intervention

Responsibilities: Adapted and/or modified individualized education plan (IEP) support and may involve working with students with significant developmental delays, learning difficulties and who may have a variety of diagnosis. Intense personal assistance on a daily basis that may require heavy lifting and/or mobility support, as well as personal care and hygiene. Supporting medical conditions and in such cases, nursing support training will be provided. Significant positive behavior supports and support of social emotional self-regulation. Commitment to and training in complex and critical support of students' technology. Transporting students into the community if the school is located too far away from community resources to walk. Being willing and able to support adapted aquatics in the pool with students. Applicants must have a valid BC Driver's license and be willing to transport students to community activities in their own vehicle.
