The work:
Help clients start the process of modernizing their finance functions by consulting with internal and external teams to set strategy and goals, prioritizing initiatives, and building out a roadmap for the finance transformation journey.
Support the growth of our Insurance-focused CFO/EV consulting team by strengthening relationships with CFOs and senior finance personnel, finding and developing top talent, and shaping/delivering business development opportunities.
Be a trusted advisor to senior leadership, bringing deep finance consulting experience to address the needs of our clients.
Provide the CFO with the right data to drive value and improve engagement, bringing the latest in productivity, performance management, and reporting. Oversee clients’ digital transformations.
Create strategies and blueprints that use intelligent automation and machine learning to improve operations and refine processes (procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, record-to-report).
Manage engagement risk, project economics, deliverable content, and ensure client buy-in – from identifying, shaping, responding to, and delivering opportunities, you’ll work to build our CFO/EV team.
Encourage innovation from team members; support their ideas and career goals.
Stay on top of current regulations, trends, and technologies influencing digital finance, analytics, and the CFO ecosystem, with a specific focus on the federal public sector.
Here’s what you need:
Minimum 8 years of finance and/or management consulting experience with a specific focus on finance transformation.
Minimum 8 years’ experience with finance functions (analytics, forecasting, core finance), including operating models, supporting organization structures, and process best practices.
Minimum 5 years working with Canadian organizations in Energy, Finance / Insurance and Consumer Packaged Goods/Retail.
Minimum 5 years of experience leading projects, streams, and/or teams of 6 - 10 resources
Bachelor's degree
Must be willing to travel
English is required for this position as this role will regularly interact with stakeholders across Canada, US and other countries across our Global footprint where English is the common language. Due to the significant high volume of interactions with these English-speaking stakeholders, which is inherent to this position, it is not possible to reorganize the company\'s activities to avoid this requirement.
Bonus points if:
You’re a pro when it comes to engagement – plus business, practice, and people development.
You’ve designed finance, accounting, planning, forecasting, or reporting solutions.
You’ve worked with FinTech solutions: visualization (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), data wrangling (Lumel, Python).
You’re comfortable with ERP technology and know your way around SAP, Oracle, Workday.
You’ve got an MBA and/or CPA or another advanced degree.
