Maximo Architect

We are seeking an experienced Maximo Architect for a 12-month contract engagement. This role will be responsible for leading the architecture, design, and optimization of IBM Maximo solutions across the organization. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Maximo Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), strong technical architecture experience, and the ability to work closely with business and technical stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of IBM Maximo solutions

Define and maintain Maximo system architecture, integrations, and technical standards

Oversee configuration, customization, and performance optimization of Maximo modules

Design and implement integrations between Maximo and other enterprise systems (ERP, GIS, Finance, HR, etc.)

Provide guidance on Maximo upgrades, patches, and system enhancements

Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions

Ensure system security, data integrity, and compliance with organizational standards

Provide technical leadership and mentorship to developers and support teams

Develop architecture documentation, design specifications, and technical roadmaps

Support testing, deployment, and post‑implementation activities

Required Qualifications

8+ years of experience working with IBM Maximo

3+ years in a Solution Architect or Technical Architect capacity

Strong experience with Maximo EAM (Work Management, Asset Management, Inventory, Procurement, etc.)

Hands‑on experience with Maximo integrations (MIF, REST/SOAP APIs, Web Services)

Experience with Maximo upgrades and performance tuning

Strong understanding of database structures (Oracle, SQL Server, or DB2)

Experience working in complex enterprise environments

Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Maximo Application Suite (MAS)

Experience in utilities, transportation, public sector, or asset‑intensive industries

Knowledge of cloud deployments (Azure, AWS, or IBM Cloud)

Maximo certifications
