Responsibilities
Lead multi‑disciplinary projects from start to finish and apply high level of technical, professional engineering and consulting expertise.
Familiar with National, Provincial and Municipal Codes and Standards; ensures design documents meet established criteria and applicable standards; coordinates engineering specifications and drawings.
Research and implement new technology designs to meet client objectives; use industry‑specific software and related technologies in design and analysis.
Participate in client management, business development and proposal preparation activities.
Prepare engineering design including calculations, specifications and drawings for building systems: HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, fuel systems.
Manage projects including financial review, budget maintenance and milestone deliverables.
Review construction documents and manage construction engineering correspondence.
Peer review junior engineers’ work.
Qualifications
10+ years of related mechanical consulting engineering experience with professional engineering designation.
Licensed Professional Engineer in Ontario (P. Eng.).
LEED Accreditation and sustainable design experience highly desirable.
Proficiency with AutoCAD, Carrier Hourly Analysis (HAP) or Trane TRACE software, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) required.
Proficiency with MEP Revit highly desirable.
