Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Analytics:

Develop and implement LTV‑based credit adjudication and account‑management strategies.

Collaborate with modeling team to build and maintain credit risk and predictive models.

Define and execute testing for optimal limit assignment and pricing.

Track, report, and benchmark credit strategy performance.

Identify, monitor, and resolve material credit risks with action plans.

Systems, Data & Infrastructure:

Create the strategic roadmap and requirements for risk management systems (adjudication, authorization, collections, fraud).

Lead risk infrastructure deployments for new product launches.

Define data strategy for production and offline analytics; implement with technology partners.

Set standards for data governance, accuracy, and completeness.

Maintain change‑management controls for decision engines.

Leadership & Project Management:

Build a high‑performance credit risk team and foster continuous development.

Manage large, complex initiatives across multiple stakeholders.

Report milestones and progress to senior executives.

Develop internal expertise for self‑service and cost‑reduction.

Vendor & Stakeholder Management:

Act as the primary SPOC from Risk for cross‑functional teams.

Manage vendor relationships (e.g., credit bureaus, Tsys, HPS).

Oversee vendor contracts with a focus on cost discipline and risk mitigation.

Support legal and compliance on AML and regulatory reporting.

Qualifications

University degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Engineering, etc.).

10+ years experience in financial services/fintech developing credit strategies.

7+ years in leadership and people‑management roles.

Experience with Tsys or HPS and transaction modeling systems.

Strong statistical knowledge, especially in credit card credit strategy.

Deep understanding of consumer credit card lifecycle, P&L reporting, and risk appetite.

Proven ability to lead complex, long‑term projects.

Proactive, agile with a startup mindset; team‑oriented and persuasive.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to see the big picture while handling day‑to‑day responsibilities.

Location & Salary Toronto, Ontario, Canada – CA$170,000.00‑CA$180,000.00
