Role Overview
A national professional services organization is seeking a Senior Manager, Total Rewards to lead the design, execution, and continuous enhancement of compensation, benefits, payroll oversight, and total rewards programs. This role partners closely with senior leaders to ensure programs are competitive, equitable, compliant, and aligned with business objectives.
The successful candidate will advance total rewards strategy, strengthen governance and compliance, enhance employee experience, and lead a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and evolve total rewards programs aligned with market practices, pay equity principles, and legislative requirements
Provide strategic advisory support to leadership on compensation competitiveness, internal equity, and talent retention
Lead job evaluation, market benchmarking, and internal equity analysis
Oversee and advance pay equity and employment equity practices
Ensure compliance with compensation, benefits, payroll, and employment-related legislation, including proactive monitoring of regulatory changes
Lead benefits strategy, vendor management, renewals, cost analysis, and employee communications
Provide oversight of payroll and benefits administration to ensure accuracy, compliance, and data integrity
Enhance HRIS data governance, reporting, and analytics to support informed decision-making
Collaborate cross-functionally to drive consistency and best practices in total rewards
Lead, coach, and develop members of the Total Rewards team
Monitor market and regulatory trends to inform ongoing program evolution
Qualifications
University degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Professional designation in compensation and/or benefits preferred
7+ years of progressive experience in compensation and benefits leadership
Strong expertise in pay equity, job levelling, market benchmarking, and compliance
Working knowledge of compensation, benefits, payroll, and employment legislationExperience overseeing payroll and benefits administration
Strong analytical skills and experience leveraging HRIS and data analytics
Demonstrated project management and stakeholder leadership capability
Proven people leadership experience
Experience with modern HRIS/payroll systems preferred
Bilingual capability considered an asset
