As an equipment engineer, you will be responsible for projects from start to finish: from identifying needs to manufacturing equipment. Your role? To take charge, coordinate, and manage each step with rigor, while offering your technical expertise to improve our practices. Whether through research, calculations, or advice to teams, you will be at the heart of our innovations and our commitment to excellence.
Responsibilities
Define project requirements with stakeholders and plan all project activities.
Prepare estimates, budgets, and project presentations for approval.
Plan, coordinate, and approve designs.
Research different components and place purchase orders.
Manage subcontractors involved in the project.
Oversee the implementation of the project in the factory.
Collaborate with various internal departments such as maintenance, production, commissioning, manufacturing engineering, etc.
Communicate project progress using dashboards, indicators, or during governance meetings.
Ensure that internal and external customer needs are met and that they are satisfied with the proposed solution throughout the project.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or other relevant field.
Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (O.I.Q).
Knowledge of machine safety standards.
Experience in equipment development.
Knowledge of SolidEdge or other CAD software.
Functional English.
Good team spirit and ability to communicate well.
Results‑oriented.
Good planner.
Rigorous and curious.
Assets
Knowledge of industrial mechanics (electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, automation).
