Job Description Summary
Our new AI Defense team provides focused development and testing in the AI space. We build security tools that incorporate AI based automation, test the security of applications that use AI, and vet third‑party AI tools. As an Information Security Specialist on our AI Defense team, you will focus on AI security operations and transformation for technology operations. You will help with AI apps’ security needs intake and prioritization, support multiple teams through build‑to‑release lifecycle from a security standpoint, liaise with security professionals through day 1 and 2 operationalization, and support the AI Defense team as they test security overlays across Enterprise/Business AI applications.
Operational Responsibilities
Drive readiness assessments, standardize operational practices, and support the AI Defense & Readiness team in implementing scalable and operational readiness for the AI security development, implementation, and operational lifecycle.
Focus on resilience, observability, and runtime response preparedness for AI end‑to‑end implementation from day 1 through to BAU.
Maintain clear documentation of readiness and operational workflows, SOPs, target operating and interaction models, and ongoing business/technology dependencies for scale and handover.
Lead continuous improvement efforts and adapt to evolving complex tech operational requirements. Proactively recommend opportunities to enhance productivity, effectiveness, and operational efficiency.
Support the AI Defense Leadership team in implementing the AI Defense operational readiness strategy, vision, and multi‑year roadmap across the Enterprise.
Support the AI Defense Leadership team in providing high‑level and detailed updates across organizational levels, maintain a feedback loop for proactive plan adaptation, and maintain transparency through clear reporting and issues’ escalation.
Team And Stakeholders Responsibilities
Support the AI Defense team in ongoing AI app threat assessments, implementation of appropriate control procedures, vulnerability assessments, remediation recommendations, and any other relevant areas.
Develop effective working relationships with North American dispersed teams and businesses.
Act as the bridge between AI business stakeholders, AI development, SRE, infrastructure, security, architecture, and BAU support teams – to ensure all technology security components are integrated into all AI applications, Enterprise or LOB‑specific, and any control gaps are addressed.
Provide support and consultation in preparation for audits and in composing management responses and proper remediation activities.
Support a positive work environment that promotes service to the business, quality, innovation and teamwork and ensure timely communication of issues/points of interest.
Reporting Responsibilities
Translate program data into actionable insights, managing productivity and performance dashboards to ensure accurate, timely, and impactful reporting.
Participate in AI app security incident responses relevant to business (or enterprise wide) and represent respective function and Enterprise position to the business, and business needs to incident response team.
Provide input on AI security‑related regulatory compliance requirements, reporting, and questions.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent vocational experience, demonstrating rigorous analytical and quantitative focus.
Deep understanding of complex technology delivery life cycles and cross‑functional coordination across Product, Engineering, and downstream Operations.
Demonstrated ability to support large‑scale technology initiatives with visibility and impact across multiple functions, including strategic planning, launch enablement, and pipeline health tracking.
High degree of comfort working in an unstructured environment.
Highly motivated self‑starter who takes ownership of responsibilities and demonstrates leadership qualities in driving initiatives and achieving results.
Highly effective communicator—concise, clear, and adapted to various audiences.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, Jira, Confluence.
Building business risk reports and dashboards via Power BI or Tableau.
Strong Power Point skills to support in building executive‑ready presentations, monthly business review materials (e.g. QBR, Readiness review), and communication briefs.
