Position Overview As a Technical Solutions Architect, you’ll play a pivotal role in designing and delivering innovative, end‑to‑end solutions across cloud, infrastructure, and integrated business systems. You’ll work at the intersection of strategy and execution, partnering with stakeholders to turn complex business challenges into secure, scalable architectures and leading them through successful delivery into production.

Location This is a hybrid role offering both on‑site and remote work options. Candidates should be within commuting distance of our headquarters, located in the heart of Vancouver, BC, as in‑person collaboration is required at least 3 times per week.

This role requires the ability to travel internationally to the United States and beyond (Mexico, European countries). Candidates must be able to obtain clearance to travel for work‑related purposes.

Responsibilities

Lead discovery with business and technical stakeholders to define requirements, constraints, risks, and success criteria.

Create end‑to‑end solution architectures (cloud, hybrid, on‑prem) aligned to security, scalability, resiliency, and performance objectives.

Define reference architectures, patterns, standards, and best practices to ensure consistency across projects and environments.

Own technical delivery for architecture workstreams by planning implementation approach, sequencing dependencies, and ensuring the architecture is built as designed.

Lead and/or hands‑on execute critical implementation components (e.g., Azure and Microsoft 365 configurations, identity/security controls, network integrations, platform services, migrations).

Produce clear, high‑quality architecture and implementation documentation, including solution diagrams, technical specifications, configuration standards, and operational handoff materials.

Communicate designs clearly to technical and non‑technical audiences, aligning stakeholders on trade‑offs, risks, and decisions.

Mentor junior team members, providing guidance, support, and training to help them develop their technical skills and professional capabilities.

Stay current on relevant certifications and emerging technology trends; apply learnings pragmatically to improve delivery outcomes.

Skills and Knowledge

Demonstrated ability to architect scalable, secure, maintainable solutions across cloud and on‑prem environments.

Strong grasp of architectural patterns, non‑functional requirements, threat/risk considerations, and integration design.

Ability to move seamlessly between strategy and hands‑on execution—configuring, implementing, troubleshooting, and driving outcomes.

Strong stakeholder management: can translate business needs into technical decisions and guide cross‑functional teams through execution.

Excellent documentation habits and the ability to produce clear, actionable design artifacts and implementation guidance.

Comfort operating in fast‑paced, solutions‑focused environments with shifting priorities and multiple active initiatives.

Education and Experience

Diploma or certificate in Information Technology or a related field from an accredited educational institution.Substantial professional experience in a relevant field may be considered in place of formal education.

7+ years in progressive technical roles (infrastructure, cloud, systems, engineering), with significant solution architecture ownership.

Proven track record delivering complex implementations end‑to‑end (design, build, stabilization, handoff).

Experience in client‑facing consulting, managed services, or solution delivery environments is strongly preferred.

Azure (architecture or administration), Microsoft 365, security, networking, ITIL/PMP considered assets.

Compensation and Additional Perks

Competitive Compensation based on skill set and experience can range between $110,000 and $125,000 per year
