Position Overview Autodesk is seekinga highly motivated, experienced, Principal DevOps Developer to join the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) Platform Data team. In this role, you will be responsible for DevOps for the services that power the data infrastructure of Autodesk's existing and future AEC products. This opportunity is for you if you have a passion for enterprise-level DevOps support and are excited by the idea of transforming how AEC professionals use data to capture knowledge, inform decisions, and deliver projects. Involved with all aspects of software development, working to create and maintain the most reliable, secure, performant, and high-throughput CI/CD pipelines for all AEC Data platform services. This includes monitoring and observability of application health.

Contribute to software design and architecture by leveraging cloud design patterns and injecting your cloud expertise into the entire development lifecycle

Work with software development teams to implement infrastructure that will perform at scale

Contribute to improvements in processes and deliverables that increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the team in responding to customer and business needs

Document and present ideas and solutions accurately and thoroughly

Participate in on-call rotations to support production systems

Minimum Qualifications

Graduate or postgraduate in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical fields

8+ years of experience in DevOps

Extensive AWS production experience in large-scale cloud-based infrastructure

Understanding of DevOps best practices, architectures, and methods

Customer-facing and service-oriented

Experience with Kubernetes/ECS environments

Experience with configuration management tools and cloud automation (Terraform, Ansible)

Experience defining and building CI/CD processes and working with common CI/CD tools (Jenkins/Spinnaker, etc.)

Excellent problem-solving skills, with ability to work independently

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Experience using Docker to build containerized applications

Experience with networking and security concepts

Experience with monitoring and logging tools (New Relic, Splunk)

Experience with HashiCorp Vault

Experience with observability tooling such as Prometheus and Grafana

Experience with database management: MySQL, Aurora, or DynamoDB

Experience with SDLC processes, tools, and Agile methodologies

Strong programming skills, preferably in Java

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of Dynamo, Revit, Civil3D or other competitive CAD software

Keen interest in new technologies and timely adoption

Ability to learn large software systems quickly

Familiarity with Dynatrace and OpenTelemetry

Ability to coordinate efforts across multiple teams
