Description

The

Manager, Operations Finance

role is based within Purolator and provides dedicated financial and business support to both Purolator Operations and its subsidiary, Williams Pharmalogistics. While the position sits within Purolator, it directly supports the Williams Pharmalogistics business as well as the broader Purolator Operations team.

The Manager will be a key member of the finance support team, partnering closely with Williams Pharmalogistics operations leadership as they continue their national expansion. In addition, the role will provide financial support to the Purolator Operations team, including ad hoc analysis and reporting requests.

The Williams team will rely on the Manager, Operations Finance to deliver strong business acumen, coaching, and financial leadership. The role will provide meaningful business insights and enhanced visibility into performance drivers, identify opportunities to improve financial results, and support capital investment allocation decisions.

The Manager, Operations Finance will also partner with Operations leadership to develop budgets, business cases, financial reporting, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to effectively measure business performance. At the same time, the role will ensure financial controls are maintained and will help foster a culture of fiscal responsibility and accountability across both organizations.

This position will be based in the Montreal region and will require time spent at both Purolator and Williams locations

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the President and Management team to deliver best in class financial reporting and analysis for Williams Pharmalogistics Implement standard processes to review & analyze financial information and key metrics that drive financial performance; the purpose of this is two-fold; to ensure best in class external financial reporting into the accounting team each month, quarter and year end while also providing internal reporting and analysis that assists Williams management in driving business improvement Partner with the Operations team to instill a culture of continuous improvement. Measure the progress on continuous improvement initiatives Support the operations team with sound financial analysis for Business Cases and business improvement initiatives Drive the creation of Operations Budgets; implement a regular process and cadence to review and analyze performance to budget Simplify and standardize modelling, reporting and processes wherever possible whilst ensuring that the requirements of the business are achieved. Travel mainly within the Region to effectively partner with the Operations team. Education

University degree in finance or business plus an accounting designation (CPA) Experience

5-10 Years of related experience; experience in transportation would be beneficial Must possess strong analytical, strategic, decision-making and problem solving skills Strong communication skills in French and English for both written and verbal with solid presentation skills Excellent time management and organizational skills Proven ability to effectively influence at all levels of the organization Skilled in the use of Excel & PowerPoint Strong Attention to detail and accuracy Experience with SAP
