We are currently seeking a qualified individual to join our dynamic, forward-thinking team of Strategic Finance professionals in our Toronto office.
Financial Analyst, Strategic Finance - Toronto
The Strategic Finance team plays a central role in Trisura's financial direction, supporting enterprise-wide planning, capital management, treasury, and corporate finance activities. We work closely with senior leadership and business units across the organization to provide clear insights, strengthen financial decision-making, and help drive long-term growth.
As a Financial Analyst, Strategic Finance, you will contribute directly to these core functions. This role is well-suited for someone with a solid foundation in financial analysis who is looking to take the next step in their career. You will deepen your analytical skills, gain exposure to how a public company manages capital and liquidity, and build a strong understanding of the drivers behind Trisura's performance, all while working in a collaborative environment where your work has real visibility and impact.

Accountabilities
Financial Planning & Analysis
Support quarterly forecasting and the annual 5-year planning process, including model updates, data synthesis, and preparation of materials for senior management.
Collaborate with business units to deliver accurate, timely insights between quarterly updates.
Assist with quarterly earnings-related analysis, including variance-to-consensus reviews and support for guidance updates.
Management Reporting
Prepare recurring financial performance reports and KPI analyses for internal stakeholders.
Improve clarity and efficiency of reporting by documenting processes and identifying enhancements.
Contribute to Board and executive materials, including performance summaries, forecast updates, or capital-related insights.
Capital Management
Support capital analysis and prepare materials for annual and quarterly updates to credit rating agencies.
Build and maintain models that forecast capital positions across Trisura's operating entities in Canada (MCT) and the U.S. (RBC).
Provide analytical support for capital deployment decisions and longer-term strategic planning.
Treasury
Coordinate cash management activities across entities to provide a consolidated view of liquidity and help inform cash movement decisions.
Support covenant and compliance reporting for existing debt facilities.
Corporate Finance & Strategic Initiatives
Contribute analytical support to M&A activities, including review of materials, financial modeling, and scenario analysis.
Partner with teams across Finance, Legal, and Operations on projects that require financial modeling, data validation, or presentation support.
Qualifications
1 - 3 years of experience in finance, preferably within financial services; insurance experience is an asset.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
Progress toward, or interest in pursuing, a CPA or CFA designation.
Location
Downtown Toronto - Hybrid - 4 days per week in office
Compensation
The expected compensation in this position is within the range of $85,000 - $95,000
This salary range reflects the expected base compensation for the role across Canada. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, qualifications, and scope of responsibilities. Trisura Group provides this range in good faith in accordance with applicable legislation.
