This position reports to: Senior Engineering Manager
Your Role And Responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to act as the technical lead for all engineering activities in assignments. Each day, you will ensure that the activities related to engineering disciplines within the team and project are executed in an efficient and cost-effective manner. You will also showcase your expertise by providing technical support to commissioning and start‑up activities.
The work model for the role is: Hybrid
This role is contributing to the Metals and Power Conversion business – High Power Rectifier product and will be based in Montreal, Canada.
Acting as a role model in applying design thinking or design for excellence concepts in projects, including modelling, prototyping, simulation, and calculations.
Leading, supervising, and coordinating teams (5‑10 members) in all engineering disciplines (both in‑house and outsourced).
Serving as a specialist in the application of advanced concepts and methods.
Technical support to sales team during bidding phase by analyzing technical risk and providing engineering estimate.
Collaborating on project installation, commissioning, and site activities, to clarify potential issues or provide solutions to rectify the engineering errors.

Qualifications For The Role
You are highly skilled with electrical control engineering design tools (Autocad, Zuken E3 is a plus).
You are highly skilled with PLC and HMI programming (AC800PEC, Allen Bradley).
You bring minimum 12 years of experience in the electrical field (Control Cabinets, Medium Voltage SWGR, Transformers, knowledge of High Power Rectifiers is an advantage).
You have demonstrated experience of leading a team of engineers while ensuring engineering excellence through collaborative environments and process improvement.
Degree in Electrical Engineering.
Member of OIQ.
You are at ease communicating in English and French. French is required. English is also required to communicate with customers outside Quebec on a regular basis.
You are able to travel to our customers site occasionally in Canada and USA (10‑15%).
