Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement end-to-end security architectures that support business initiatives while aligning with FCT’s strategic, risk, and compliance objectives.

Create detailed security architecture and design documentation covering networks, servers, endpoints, applications, data, identity, and cloud environments.

Architect secure cloud solutions and guardrails, ensuring strong security controls, scalability, resilience, and cost-effective operations across cloud platforms.

Define security strategies, reference architectures, and roadmaps; evaluate and select security technologies and cloud services that align with business and regulatory requirements.

Lead security initiatives as the technical architect from concept through delivery, partnering with project managers, infrastructure, development, and operations teams to ensure on-time and on-budget execution.

Design and oversee security automation and tooling (e.g., policy-as-code, CI/CD security controls, monitoring, and response) to improve operational efficiency and reduce risk.

Integrate new security technologies into existing environments, ensuring compatibility, performance, and minimal disruption while addressing evolving threat landscapes.

Conduct threat modeling, risk assessments, and security design reviews to ensure solutions meet enterprise security standards and best practices.

Document security architectures, configurations, standards, and operational procedures to support ongoing operations, audits, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in security architecture, infrastructure, cloud security, or a related role, with demonstrated success designing and overseeing and implementing enterprise-grade security solutions.

Strong expertise in security architecture across networks, servers, endpoints, identity, data, and cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud), with Azure security experience a great positive.

Experience with cloud security controls, identity and access management (IAM), network security, encryption, logging, and security monitoring in hybrid and cloud-native environments.

Good understanding of security frameworks, standards, and best practices (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, CIS, Zero Trust).

Relevant security and cloud certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate or Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AWS Certified Security – Specialty, CISSP, CCSP, or similar are highly desirable.

Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to translate complex security concepts into clear business and technical guidance.

Compensation 137,200 - 167,900 Any pay range is in $CAD
