In a rapidly evolving health‑care landscape, the CMA is strengthening its enterprise capabilities to deliver even greater impact for physicians and patients alike. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Executive Vice-President, General Counsel will serve as the CMA’s senior legal, governance, and enterprise risk advisor—providing strategic, trusted guidance on matters of organizational importance. This executive will oversee legal services, governance, compliance, and enterprise risk management across the CMA Group of Companies, ensuring the integrity of decision‑making, the protection of the organization’s reputation, and the advancement of its long‑term objectives. As a key member of the Enterprise Leadership Team, the EVP will support the Board and senior leadership on complex issues, oversee legal and privacy frameworks, and help the CMA navigate an increasingly regulated and politically dynamic environment. The ideal candidate is a seasoned legal executive with deep experience advising Boards, CEOs, and senior leaders in complex, multi‑entity or highly regulated environments. They bring expertise across corporate, regulatory, and employment law, along with a strong command of governance, enterprise risk, and compliance. A principled, diplomatic, and strategic leader, the EVP is energized by the opportunity to support a mission‑driven national institution, steward its legal and governance foundations, and guide the organization through issues with public, political, or reputational sensitivity.
