Toronto (Onsite: 7.25 hours/day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday)

This position is provisionally Onsite, requiring 7.25 hours per calendar day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday (excluding breaks). Conditions may change based on organizational requirements and at the discretion of the Hiring Manager.

About the Engagement Akkodis is seeking a Senior Data Science Developer to architect, build, and modernize cloud‑based data and analytics products on Microsoft Azure. The resource will collaborate with product teams and cluster IT to deliver secure, scalable data lake/lakehouse solutions, modernize legacy pipelines to Databricks/Delta Lake, and champion engineering standards across Agile delivery.

Scope

Analyze system requirements; design, code, and implement cloud‑based data & analytics products aligned to enterprise standards.

Design, create, and maintain data lakes/lakehouse structures, automated data pipelines, and analytics models on Azure.

Liaise with cluster IT to support implementation, reviews, issue resolution, and partner enablement.

Analyze complex technical issues, evaluate alternatives, and recommend optimal solutions.

Assignment Deliverables

Azure data platform components: Delta Lake tables, pipelines, notebooks/jobs, and orchestration assets.

Technical design specs, build books, and deployment documentation.

Migration runbooks, validation scripts, and incident/defect resolution records.

Expertise Required

5+ years’ Azure data platform experience.

5+ years’ data engineering with Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Databricks.

5+ years’ programming with Python and SQL.

Nice to Have:

Working knowledge of CI/CD for data solutions and code lifecycle.

Comfortable with GitHub PRs/code reviews and best practices.

Security Clearance Required.
