The Core, Payroll, and Total Rewards Product Group is at the heart of TD Bank’s HR technology transformation. Our team manages the bank’s comprehensive HR tech stack—including platforms like Workday, ServiceNow, and Varicent—to deliver seamless, secure, and innovative solutions that empower over 95,000 colleagues across the globe.

What You’ll Do

Strategic Leadership: Partnering with a team of Product Owners, develop and execute a visionary roadmap for HR business applications—spanning several critical applications like Workday and ServiceNow.

Agile Delivery: Collaborate with product owners and cross‑functional teams in an agile environment to deliver high‑impact solutions, ensuring rapid iteration, continuous improvement, and exceptional user adoption.

Tech Mastery: Oversee the design, implementation, and optimization of platforms such as Workday, Varicent, ServiceNow, and other HR applications, driving automation, process improvements, and our digital transformation.

Team Empowerment: Mentor and inspire a high‑performing team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.

Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as a trusted advisor to business and technology leaders, translating complex requirements into actionable solutions that deliver measurable business value.

Data & AI Trailblazer: Build digital, data, and AI capabilities that power smarter decisions and future‑proof our business across our HR technology landscape.

Customer

Direct accountability for leading and managing Business Operations Practices to support delivery of BAU processes for 3 or more applications

Represent business as their Operational Excellence Champion

Owns the deployment and change management for initiatives / projects spanning across all project tiers

Responsible for providing support to projects in developing operating practices to support delivery and integration of Marketing Technology projects into Operational Processes

Owns and maintains 3‑year roadmap to establish vision, clarity, and alignment with the strategic and tactical direction of the business

Oversees financial planning and management process as part of Operations budget and Marketing Technology budgets

Provides oversight for the forecasting and management of Operation budgets across multiple applications with Finance standards

Accountable for documentation management for Business Operations and Project artifacts (i.e. Operations Manuals, BRD, SRS, Test Plans, etc)

Shareholder

Owns overall accountability for managing operational risk and controls

Accountable for executive and management communications as it pertains to the Business Operations

Ensure adherence to guidelines and regulatory requirements under Privacy, Legal, Compliance, and the Office of the Chief Data Officer

Establish effective relationships across multiple business and technology partners, program, project managers

Manage / oversee the in‑take of new projects and ensure Business Systems Analyst resources are effectively allocated amongst the project portfolio

Communicate and negotiate timelines, budget, staffing, scope and critical milestones with project managers and key stakeholders

Ensure the team maintains compliance and procedure guidelines to support satisfactory audit results

Employee / Team

Responsible for management of the overall team providing both leadership and guidance

Set targets and objectives for the team, and deliver results

Grow team expertise to align with business/enterprise demand and direction; assess team skills and capabilities and continually look for ways to provide and enhance the value delivered

Lead a high performing team; provide on‑going feedback and performance reviews, coach and develop employees and ensure performance management activities are undertaken and completed for all employees

Lead the process of setting performance objectives for the team; track, monitor and effectively address and/or reward performance in a timely manner

Manage employees in compliance with all human resources policies, procedures and guidelines of conduct

Share knowledge, information, skills, and subject matter expertise among the team and ensure the timely communication of issues and encourage good working relationships with other functions and teams

Support an environment where team freely escalates business challenges; facilitate change through positive reinforcement of milestones and successes

Recruit for all hires to ensure a highly diverse, qualified workforce to achieve business objectives

Establish and foster a cohesive team; promote a fair and equitable environment that supports a diverse workforce and encourage the team to achieve common goals and objectives

Act as a brand ambassador for your business area/function and the bank, both internally and/or externally

Participate in knowledge transfer within the team and other business units, including participation in cross‑functional groups or committees (e.g., Data Councils)

Provides people management leadership by hiring the best talent, setting goals, developing staff, managing employee performance and compensation decisions, promoting teamwork and handling any/all disciplinary actions, as required

Oversee and lead a large and/or highly complex and diverse reporting function for an area of significant risk, complexity or scope while growing talent, developing skills and capabilities to achieve career goals, support project / initiative success and achieve business results

Provides coaching, mentorship and guidance to practitioners, business, executives within area of expertise

Manages and oversees the overall discipline and strategy for the respective areas while aligning to the enterprise best practices

Strategic partner to leadership team on the management of the portfolio and financials, with deep industry, external / internal, enterprise knowledge, recognizing and anticipating emerging trends and; identifying operational efficiencies and opportunities with other business management / enterprise areas

Facilitate key strategic discussions and provide thought leadership to executive audience (output may include strategic roadmap and/or deliverables/ frameworks/ short to long term goals etc.)

Set operational team direction and collaborate with others to execute on common goals

Focus on longer‑range planning for functional area (e.g. 12 months or greater)

Generally reports to business management executive

Experience & Education

Undergraduate degree or technical certificate

10+ years of relevant experience
