General Summary
The Finance Director will leverage their business acumen and enterprise leadership mindset to play an integral role on the cross-functional country leadership team. This position focuses on providing strategic Finance partnering support, including forecasting, performance management, accounting, and internal controls. The Finance Director will also lead financial analysis for third-party contract negotiations and ensure compliance with global practices and local regulations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Provide financial leadership to the Canadian team and NECAD region and partner with local functional business leads.
Collaborate with senior leaders in the region to deliver strategic and operational finance support for informed investment decisions.
Serve as part of the core deal team, leading financial analysis to support reimbursement negotiations with third parties.
Drive the country monthly financial forecast and reporting processes.
Develop and maintain a three year strategic plan
Ensure timely and accurate reporting by adopting global practices.
Collaborate with international finance and corporate tax teams on local tax filings.
Support the international strategic sourcing team on sourcing initiatives.
Assist with statutory account filings as required and participate in external audits
Represent regional needs in global projects.
Analyse and drive market KPIs in collaboration with the regional team.
Partner with the local team to set and manage field incentive schemes.
Knowledge and Skills
Experience of operating in a cross functional team within the Biopharma industry.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues and prioritize effectively.
Demonstrated ability to improve processes and systems.
Excellent strategic thinking and implementation skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
International travel required
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or equivalent business experience.
Certified Professional Accountant (CPA) or equivalent
Strong background in business partnering, particularly in commercial operations and finance, including internal controls, compliance, strategic planning, market analysis, treasury, and risk management.
Experience in building an organization to support a commercial launch.

Hybrid : work remotely up to two days per week;
or select
On-Site : work five days per week on-site with ad hoc flexibility.
