About the role
Our newest Cetaris product development team seeks a Senior QA Engineer who is knowledgeable and passionate about automated testing with Selenium, and who can start immediately.
Collaborating with the team, you will play a key role in extending our automated testing framework using Selenium with C#.
This contract employment role will help you continue to grow in your career by giving an opportunity to learn alongside a passionate and seasoned team software development team that continuously explores and adopts new tools and technologies. You will help the team understand how to leverage Selenium in their process.
What you’ll do
Advocate for quality above all else and escalate quality issues
Work with other QA Analysts to automate test scenarios to test Cetaris’ next generation base product
Research and make use of tools and frameworks such as Selenium, NUnit and Azure DevOps Test Plans to help product delivery
Work closely with the SQA team to use test plans and test cases, execute tests, and document test results
Help the team set up and continually improve QA processes
Hours and location
Our team continues to work 100% remotely with occasional in person meet-ups in the Greater Toronto Area. Future plans around location are still open. Our primary goal is to keep our team and their families safe and well. Flexible work hours.
Compensation
This is a 6-month maternity leave replacement contract (40 hours/week), with the possibility to extend or convert to full-time employment, and an hourly rate (based on experience) plus bonus. Requirements and skills
Post-secondary studies in computer science,web development, software quality assurance, or related field
Automation level coding skills and able to independently evolve and maintain frameworks
4-6 years’ experience manual testing of mobile, tablet, desktop, and responsive web-based applications
At least 3 years’ experience developing automation scripts using C#, NUnit, Selenium Webdriver, and ability to read and write HTML, CSS
At least 3 years’ experience testing Web UIs using Selenium
Personal attributes
You are a high communicator and feel comfortable reaching out to your team in a remote Agile work environment
You are strong at communicating test scenarios and test results verbally and in writing
You are passionate about empathizing with customer/user requirements
You realize there is never one right answer and always search out new solutions to complex problems in collaboration with others
Familiarity with the transportation/logistics industries or maintenance software
Exposure to BDD frameworks such as Specflow
