About the Role Based out of Leamington Ontario, Auxly is looking to hire a Quality Assurance Validations Specialist to support a multi-year facility expansion and ongoing operations. Reporting primarily to the QA Manager, this contract-based role will be responsible for the planning, execution, and maintenance of validation activities related to facilities, utilities, equipment, and procedures, ensuring systems are fit for intended use and compliant with GPP, GACP and EU-GMP expectations.

The QA Validations Specialist will work closely with Engineering, Operations, external engineering firms, and subject matter experts to embed validation requirements from design through operational handover. This role will be instrumental in ensuring new rooms, equipment, and processes are qualified, inspection-ready, and maintained in a validated state throughout their lifecycle.

What can you expect to do

Co-author and review validation documentation (including URS support, risk assessments, IQ/OQ/PQ protocols and reports) in collaboration with internal and external subject matter experts, ensuring alignment with all regulatory requirements.

Lead or support qualification activities for facilities, utilities, equipment, and controlled environments, including participation in FAT/SAT, commissioning, and transition to formal qualification.

Oversee and/or execute approved validation protocols, ensuring activities are completed in accordance with approved plans, timelines, and quality standards.

Translate validated parameters into clear, compliant standard operating procedures in collaboration with operational owners, supporting long-term process control and compliance.

Work closely with contracted engineers, contracted subject matter experts, and internal departments to ensure validation activities align with project timelines and operational readiness.

Develop and present training materials that are derived from validated processes and procedures, supporting effective implementation and adherence to co-authored procedures.

Monitor, investigate, and oversee CAPA activities that relate to the validations program.

Participating in external andinternal audits.

What we are looking for

Post-Secondary education with a background in a scientific, engineering, agriculture, or a related technical discipline

Minimum of 3 yearsโ€™ experience in a regulated manufacturing environment with responsibility for equipment, facility, or process qualification and validation.

Work experience in implementing and/or maintaining procedures that meet the regulatory requirements of the Cannabis Regulations and/or Good Manufacturing Practices.

Strong working knowledge of validation principles, including IQ/OQ/PQ and lifecycle management.

Strong communication and presentation skills, both oral and written.

Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment, balancing project timelines with quality and compliance requirements.

What will set you apart

Work experience in qualifying software platforms is considered an asset.

Demonstrating the ability to understand complex quality issues and drive scientifically sound resolutions is an asset.

Knowledgeable in risk-based analyses that allow for Continuous Improvements.

Previous experience in an EU-GMP licensed facility is an asset.

Experience supporting facility expansions, new room build-outs, or major capital projects.

Hands-on experience qualifying utilities (e.g., HVAC, environmental controls) and controlled environments.
