SERVICENOW SENIOR DEVELOPER

Responsibilities

Lead development of complex ServiceNow features, modules, integrations, and enhancements.

Develop and maintain scripts, workflows, API integrations, and automation components.

Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards and platform best practices.

Collaborate with architects, administrators, and analysts to translate requirements into technical solutions.

Troubleshoot platform issues, performance concerns, and integration failures.

Support upgrade preparation including refactoring, ATF alignment, and regression mitigation.

Contribute to technical documentation, design specifications, and operational procedures.

Provide mentorship and technical guidance to ServiceNow developers and specialists.

Requirements

Minimum 3-5+ years of progressive development experience in IM/IT, with 5+ years developing on the ServiceNow platform.

Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.

ServiceNow certifications: CSA required; CIS–ITSM, CIS–ITOM, CIS–SPM, or CAD strongly preferred.

ITIL certification – an asset.

Experience with JavaScript, REST/SOAP, Flow Designer, and ServiceNow scripting frameworks.

Advanced ServiceNow development skills including scripting, UI customization, Business Rules, Script Includes, ACLs, and integration development.

Deep understanding of ServiceNow data structures, table architecture, and system performance optimization.

Ability to design scalable and maintainable solutions aligned with enterprise architecture.

Experience developing scoped applications, complex workflows, and integrations.

Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to mentor junior developers and enforce development standards.

Strong documentation and communication skills.

Ability to manage competing priorities while delivering high-quality outcomes.
