We are hiring a full-time, permanent Analyst, IS Infrastructure position working out of Edmonton, AB .
As the Analyst, IS Infrastructure, you are accountable for the implementation, configuration, support, and maintenance of EPCOR’s core cloud infrastructure and cloud platforms. In this role, you work closely with the Infrastructure and Security Architecture team to advance EPCOR’s hybrid cloud computing model, ensuring it aligns with security and information ‑ management best practices.

What you’d be responsible for
Y ou will have the following key accountabilities (but are not limited to these):
Providing expert guidance on cloud platforms and infrastructure to support organizational cloud ‑ adoption goals.
Implementing, managing, and supporting Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services ( AWS ) , and related cloud services to ensure secure and reliable operations.
Handling daily cloud operations, including provisioning, incident response, optimization, and maintaining high service availability.
Contributing to the Cloud Services roadmap by supporting modernization and alignment of core technologies.
Developing and refining cloud operational processes to ensure compliance with policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
Supporting collaboration technologies such as Microsoft Teams, Teams Rooms, Zoom, Mural, and enterprise conferencing systems.
Monitoring new cloud features and participating in governance activities to evaluate, implement, and communicate changes.
Acting as a liaison between support teams, business units, and IT partners to resolve cloud ‑ related operational issues.
Leading or participating in problem ‑ management activities, including conducting post ‑ incident reviews and documenting findings.
Providing input into cloud infrastructure plans while maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Demonstrating disciplined, safe, innovative, and customer ‑ focused performance in all aspects of work.
Delivering results aligned with performance metrics, including service quality, ticket response, and operational reliability.
Performing other related duties as required.
What’s required to be successful
Completion of a Degree in Computing Sciences, Business or Engineering ( or other related fields) or a technical Diploma in a related field from a recognized post-secondary educational institute.
5+ years of experience in Information Services .
AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Microsoft 365 technologies and corresponding c ertifications :
Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or higher , or
Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert or
AWS Certified SysOps Administrator .
Enterprise computing such as Windows, Linux, storage, backup and/or networking technologies and corresponding certifications .
Experience with Infrastructure as Code ( IaC ) tools, including Bicep, AWS CloudFormation, and Terraform, for deploying and managing cloud resources.
Experience collaborating with developers, architects, management, and business stakeholders to design, implement, operationalize, and troubleshoot cloud ‑ based workloads.
Advanced p roficiency in AWS, Microsoft 365, and/or Microsoft Azure .
P roficiency in PowerShell, Microsoft Graph, and Azure Automation for scripting, automation, and operational management.
Strong understanding of cloud provider operations, including resource provisioning, allocation planning, and security management across multiple platforms.
Deep knowledge of current and emerging cloud technologies, architectures , and best practices.
Broad IT infrastructure knowledge spanning desktop, server, storage, and networking technologies.
Ability to develop and manage cloud operational processes, propose improvements, address peer feedback, and support continuous improvement initiatives for AWS, Microsoft 365, and Microsoft Azure.
Capability in managing major incidents and supporting critical cloud investigations and recovery efforts .
Proven ability to deliver ongoing operational initiatives for cloud platforms and services.

Final Wage and Step will be determined at the time of selection and based on a combination of factors as outlined in the Collective Agreement.

A technical/practical assessment may be administered during the selection process and this exercise will be used as a part of the selection criterion.
To meet the physical demands required of some positions, candidates must be in good physical condition and willing to work in all weather conditions. Clearance on pre-placement medical and drug and alcohol testing may be required.
P rior infractions for unsafe driving behaviours will be evaluated and considered for non-selection regardless of current demerits on file .
