Director of Finance

Our client is a rapidly growing payment processing and financial technology company seeking a

Director of Finance , depending on experience, to fully own and professionalize the finance function. This is a

senior, autonomous leadership role

for a hands‑on finance professional who can operate without micromanagement, challenge existing practices, and implement better systems and controls. The company is experiencing strong momentum—new clients, expanded services, and recent cross‑border expansion—making this an excellent opportunity for a finance leader who wants real influence and visibility in a growing business. Key Responsibilities

Financial Leadership & Strategy

Serve as the senior finance leader for the organization, owning all accounting and financial operations Act as a trusted financial partner to ownership and senior leadership Provide financial insight to support strategic decisions, growth initiatives, and operational improvements Evaluate current financial practices and redesign them for scalability and efficiency Accounting & Financial Operations

Oversee all accounting activities, including:

General ledger Invoicing and revenue recognition Accounts payable and vendor management Cash flow and working capital management

Lead and optimize the company’s

QuickBooks Online

environment Transition historically manual processes into streamlined, automated workflows Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of financial records Reporting, Budgeting & Forecasting

Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections Monitor financial performance and identify trends, risks, and opportunities Improve financial visibility and reporting for leadership decision‑making Controls, Compliance & Risk Management

Establish and maintain internal controls, policies, and procedures Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements Liaise with external auditors, accountants, and advisors as required Ensure vendor fees, pricing structures, and service charges are appropriate and well- Operational & Cross‑Functional Support

Support business growth initiatives, including:

New client onboarding New service offerings Cross‑border operations

Review and optimize payment workflows and fee structures within the payment processing environment Partner with operations and leadership to improve financial discipline and process alignment What We’re Looking For

5+ years of senior‑level accounting or finance leadership experience Proven experience owning a finance function end‑to‑end Background in

payment processing, fintech, manufacturing, or public accounting/audit

strongly preferred CPA or CA designation, an asset Highly independent, self‑directed, and comfortable operating without micromanagement Strong judgment and the confidence to question “why we do things this way” and improve it
