Job Description

Our client in the Tech sector is looking for a Senior Accountant for a 12-month contract. The role is primarily remote - 1 or 2 days a month may required in the client's North York office. Job #: 469818 Responsibilities

General Ledger Management

Perform GL accounting including entry verification, preparation and posting of adjustment journal entries, and full-cycle accounting activities. Month-End Close & Cash Reconciliations

Lead month-end close processes including cash reconciliation validations, adjustments, and ensuring timely and accurate reporting. Inventory Accounting

Manage inventory valuation, costing entries, reconciliations, and related accounting transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance. Intercompany Eliminations

Prepare and reconcile intercompany transactions and eliminations across US, Canada, Serbia, Japan, and India entities. Oversee vendor transactions, expense-side accounting, AP reviews, and ensure proper coding and compliance with internal policies. Indirect Tax Filings

Prepare and review HST/GST filings, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely submission. Employee Expense Management

Manage and review employee expense reporting using Navan software, ensuring policy compliance and accurate recording. Leverage major ERP systems to maintain accurate financial records, streamline processes, and strengthen internal controls. Requirements

Accounting Designation Strong experience in General Ledger accounting and full-cycle accounting processes. Hands-on experience with Inventory Accounting, including valuation and related journal entries. Proven expertise in Intercompany accounting and eliminations across multiple international entities. Experience with major ERP systems and advanced proficiency in financial systems. Demonstrated experience in cash reconciliations, month-end close activities, vendor/AP management, and HST/GST filings. Background in Standard Costing methodologies and cost accounting principles is an Asset.
