As Construction Manager, you’ll be responsible fororganizing, supporting and managing BBA's activities on all its work sites inyour region. Your role will include engaging with clients to promote ourservices and onsite project management expertise; recruiting and organizing thework of site supervisors, resident engineers and onsite inspectors—whetherconsultants or employees—within the region.
You’ll be responsible for maintaining strong clientrelationships for all onsite work by BBA’s regional team. Your performance willbe measured by achieving health and safety, quality, budget and scheduletargets. To achieve this, you'll be supported by BBA’s Project ManagementOffice experts, who’ll work closely with you. You’ll also serve in enhancingBBA’s construction management tools and procedures.
Your daily work inaction:
Coordinate all site workers in your region
Serve as supervisor and mentor to the work site team assigned to the project
Ensure proactive interactions between site personnel and project engineering
Develop construction strategies and ensure constructability
Make sure the construction budget and schedule are respected, where applicable, and take any necessary actions
Conduct site visits with bidders and support the bidding process for construction contracts
Prepare weekly and monthly reports
Inform and advise the project manager on construction-related decisions
Ensure work is carried out safely according to the prime contractor's prevention program and BBA's 10 Golden Rules
Foster and maintain a positive, dynamic and committed work environment within the team and in interactions with clients
Manage straightforward labour relations issues
Attend weekly contract review meetings and settle disputes
Help develop feasibility studies and implementation strategies for new work sites
Keep accurate and comprehensive notes of discussions, meetings and site events

Overview of jobrequirements
Hold a degree engineering, administration or any other relevant training
Proven soft skills
Ability to communicate in a professional and persuasive manner
Ideally bilingual
Demonstrate a selfless commitment to supporting client project success
Highly mobile and available for projects in your region
Exhibit creativity in proposing more effective alternatives
Anticipate how site actions may impact client operations, contractual agreements, and, if applicable, relationships with construction unions
Promote a disciplined, respectful and harmonious work environment on site
Develop skills in managing people, resolving interpersonal conflicts and handling emotional responses
Be proactive and diligent about onsite health and safety; be seen as a strong advocate for these values
Have multidisciplinary site management experience across various industrial sectors and clients
