Position Summary Worley is seeking a motivated and technically curious

Graduate

Piping Engineer-in-Training (EIT)

to join our Piping Engineering team in either Calgary or Edmonton. This role is ideal for new graduates or early-career engineers looking to build a strong technical foundation in piping engineering within a multi-disciplinary EPC/EPCM environment.

Working under the guidance of experienced Piping Engineers and technical leads, the

Graduate

Piping Engineer-in-Training (EIT)

will support the delivery of piping engineering work across a range of industrial projects, gaining exposure to design, analysis, materials, specifications, procurement support, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Support the delivery of piping engineering scope across assigned projects in accordance with Worley standards, client requirements, and applicable codes and regulations.

Assist with basic piping engineering calculations, including pipe wall thickness, pressure testing, and related design checks.

Support the development and maintenance of piping line lists, piping specialty item lists, and associated data sheets.

Assist with preparation of piping design documentation and registration submissions (e.g., ABSA), as required.

Support the development of material requisitions and participate in technical bid evaluations for piping materials and specialty items.

Interface with piping designers and other engineering disciplines to support coordinated, integrated project delivery.

Develop foundational knowledge in piping stress analysis and pipe support concepts under the mentorship of senior engineers.

Contribute to quality, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives within the piping engineering discipline.

Participate in project meetings and internal coordination activities as required.

Operate effectively within a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team environment.

Qualifications & Experience Education & Certification Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline from a recognized institution.

Registered (or eligible for registration) as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with APEGA.

Experience New graduate or early-career experience in piping, mechanical, or related engineering fields.

Technical & Professional Skills Strong foundational engineering knowledge with a willingness to learn and develop piping-specific technical expertise.

Proficiency with standard office and engineering tools (e.g., Microsoft Office).

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work effectively in a team-based, multi-disciplinary project environment.

High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality, accurate, and timely work.
