What will you be doing!

Developing and executing System Performance Monitoring Plans, Walkdown Plans, Walkdown Reports, and System Health Reports.

Developing and improving maintenance strategies.

Assigning maintenance strategies for equipment.

Restoring configuration management for process, mechanical and electrical systems.

Providing subject matter expert review and comments on designs.

Developing engineering specifications and standards, facilitating a consistent design approach.

Reviewing and/or recommending technical specifications for equipment, tests, and processes/procedures.

Other duties as assigned by your manager.

What we are looking for:

Education

At a minimum, a Bachelor (Honours) degree in Engineering from a university of recognized standing, or membership in an engineering professional organization authorized by statute to establish qualifications for membership in that organization.

Experience

Experience with reliability‑centred maintenance and predictive maintenance is an asset.

Experience with vibration analysis, motor circuit analysis, infrared analysis, and ultrasonic applications in maintenance procedures is an asset.

Experience working in a nuclear environment asset.

Experience with electrical systems, HVAC systems, and process systems is an asset.

Significant related engineering work experience.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Ability to exercise sound judgment in technical matters, to routinely solve technical problems and to make independent decisions.

Excellent oral and written English communication skills; previous experience making technical presentations to small and large audiences.

Good organization skills and patience.

Knowledge of Design Engineering practices, Engineering Change Control and Configuration Management.

Knowledge of reliability‑centred maintenance principles and theory.

Knowledge of condition‑based maintenance technologies and practices.

Security Clearance Eligibility Required

Reliability Status with Site Access Security Clearance (SASC), which has a minimum requirement of 3‑5 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United States and/or the United Kingdom. CNL implements security screening in accordance with the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat’s “Standard on Security Screening” and the “Policy on Government Security.”

Working Conditions:

Working schedule: Five (5) days per week, seven and a half (7.5) hours per day for a thirty‑seven and a half (37.5) hour work week.

This position is part of the

CRPEG Union

and is governed by the terms and conditions outlined in the

CRPEG

that requires the employee to primarily work at CNL’s Chalk River Laboratory site, with only occasional opportunities to work remotely, if desired by the employee. Located in the heart of the
