The A220 commercial aircraft Programme is looking for a liaison engineering professional to join our MAP (mise au point) engineering evening team based in Mirabel (Québec, Canada).

You will be part of the engineering team responsible for answering non-conformances in the pre-fal, final line and preflight areas of the A220 Aircraft.

The team organization is established to promote cross-collaboration autonomously, supporting each other and learning collectively.

Your role as liaison engineering professional will be to design, analyze and disposition repairs for structural non-conformances in a timely manner to restore design integrity of the A220 parts.

Vous ferez partie de l’équipe d’ingénierie MAP sur le quart de soir chargée de répondre aux non-conformités de la Pre-Fal, la ligne finale et les zones de pré-vol du A220.

L'organisation de l'équipe est établie de manière à promouvoir la collaboration transversale de manière autonome, en se soutenant mutuellement et en apprenant collectivement.

Votre rôle en tant que professionnel en ingénierie de Liaison sera de concevoir, analyser et éliminer les réparations pour les non-conformités structurelles et de systèmes en temps opportun afin de restaurer l'intégrité de la conception dans les pièces du A220.

Your challenges

Design, analyze and disposition repairs for structural non‑conformances in a timely manner to restore design integrity in sub‑assembly, final line and preflight areas of the A220 Aircraft.

Rapidly design repairs based on equivalent strength / stiffness of surrounding structure while in a production schedule‑driven environment.

Interpret engineering drawings, specifications & provide guidance to Methods and Production employees.

Adhere to the A220 Material Review Board (MRB) and Quality Assurance (QA) procedures.

Lead internal audits according to the ISO standards, Transport Canada, NADCAP and Six Sigma.

Maintain a current and up‑to‑date knowledge of developments in aircraft structures in order to recommend innovations to improve the quality, economy, and effectiveness of company products.

Participate in projects that aim to increase productivity, reduce waste and improve financial performance.

Work in close cooperation with other engineering disciplines such as Systems, Stress, Materials & Processes, Propulsion, and Support Groups such as Logistics, Methods & Quality in order to achieve the company's business objectives.

Vos défis

Concevoir, analyser et éliminer les réparations pour les non-conformités structurelles en temps opportun afin de restaurer l'intégrité de la conception dans les sous‑ensembles, la ligne finale et les zones de pré‑vol de l’avion A220;

Concevoir rapidement des réparations sur la base d'une résistance/rigidité équivalente de la structure environnante dans un environnement piloté par un calendrier de production;

Interpréter les dessins techniques, les spécifications et fournir des conseils aux employés des méthodes et de la production;

Adhérer aux procédures du comité d'examen du matériel (MRB) et d'assurance qualité (AQ) de l'A220;

Diriger des audits internes selon les normes ISO, Transport Canada, NADCAP et six sigma;

Maintenir une connaissance actuelle et à jour des développements dans les structures d'avions afin de recommander des innovations pour améliorer la qualité, l'économie et l'efficacité des produits de l'entreprise;

Participer à des projets qui visent à augmenter la productivité, réduire les déchets et améliorer la performance financière;

Travailler en étroite collaboration avec d'autres disciplines d'ingénierie telles que les systèmes, les contraintes, les matériaux et les processus, la propulsion et les groupes de soutien tels que la logistique, les méthodes et la qualité afin d'atteindre les objectifs commerciaux de l'entreprise.

Your profile

You have a University or a College degree in Aerospace or Mechanical engineering or in a related field;

You have minimum five (5) years experience in Material Review Board (MRB) or airframe design in aerospace, an important asset;

You have an in‑depth knowledge of aircraft structures & system installation technical requirements;

You have a high sense of commitment, and a willingness to accept responsibilities while acting independently in a high‑pressure and in a ramp‑up production environment;

You have practical working experience using V5;

You are bilingual (English and French).

Votre profil

Vous avez un diplôme universitaire ou collégial en génie aérospatial ou mécanique ou dans un domaine connexe;

Vous avez un minimum de cinq (5) ans d’expérience dans le Material Review Board (MRB) ou la conception de cellules en aérospatiale, un atout important;

Vous avez une connaissance approfondie des structures d'aéronefs et des exigences techniques d'installation de systèmes;

Vous avez un sens élevé de l'engagement et une volonté d'accepter des responsabilités tout en agissant de manière indépendante dans un environnement de production à haute pression et en montée en charge;

Vous avez une expérience de travail pratique en utilisant V5;

Vous êtes bilingue (français et anglais).
