YOUR ROLE

As a Cook, you will be responsible for planning, preparing, and serving varied and balanced meals, while ensuring cleanliness, hygiene, and the proper functioning of kitchen facilities.

Specifically, your main responsibilities include:

Plan and prepare meals, assess required quantities, and manage food supplies.

Oversee meal service, including presentation and maintaining safe food temperatures.

Ensure meal quality and compliance with internal standards and regulations of the

MAPAQ

.

Maintain kitchen, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition in accordance with hygiene, sanitation, and occupational health and safety standards.

Assign and supervise the work of kitchen helpers, when applicable.

Our ally in the kitchen

:

Hold a Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS) in Professional Cooking or equivalent.

Hold a valid food safety certification issued by the

MAPAQ

(an asset).

Have a minimum of one (1) year of experience in a kitchen environment.

Hold a valid Class 5 driver’s licence.

Are bilingual (an asset).

Have an interest in working in remote regions on a rotational schedule (21/21 days).

Are recognized for your autonomy, organizational skills, and ability to work as part of a team.
