Position Information

Location: 480 Gordon Baker Road (Hybrid)

Reports to: Senior Director, Marine

Summary Of Responsibilities We are seeking a Director to lead and oversee the Marine business strategy, encompassing Units, Parts & Accessories (P&A), and Marine Rigging Parts (MRP). Drive achievement of sales and profitability targets across all product lines, including Outboard engines, Sport Boats, WaveRunners, and the distribution of Skeeter and G3 boats and P&A.

Key Duties And Responsibilities

Manage, support creation and execution of the strategic vision and purpose for our Overall YMCA marine business.

Oversee Marine sales programs, dealer development, and national sales targets (Units and P&A). Manage budgets, PSI pricing matrices, and product positioning to ensure ROI and alignment with corporate objectives.

Drive Dealer network growth through implementation of strategic initiatives across all product lines.

Manage a comprehensive B2B strategy for each product line.

Manage all aspects of Marine product planning (units, P&A and Rigging parts), support YMC with development needs through research and competitive analysis. Ensure consistent product information communication within internal stakeholders.

Champion a customer‑first approach by providing clear, timely direction to enable Marine business success. Coach and develop direct reports through ongoing training, performance and management to ensure growth and continuity in achieving department and corporate goals.

Monitor and manage the annual departmental budget, making adjustments as required to stay aligned with financial goals. Implement effective internal controls, including documented processes, formal review systems, and compliance with audit requirements.

Education Requirements And/or Experience Requirements

Degree/Diploma: Post‑secondary, university preferred

Program of Study: Sales, marketing, business related

Years of Experience: Minimum 5+ years

Strong leadership skills

Strategic self‑starter with strong program management skills

Experience selling across multiple product categories

Ability to lead change and act as a change agent

Ability to identify, prioritize and articulate highest impact initiatives

Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence both internal and external

Strong business and financial acumen; develops and manages budgets responsibly; demonstrates ability to read and interpret financial and sales data

Strategic planning and sales skills and the strategy and tactics to lead the team to success

Travel And Overtime Requirements

National: Frequently (40%+)

International: Occasionally (10-30%)
