Senior Procurement Manager

The Senior Procurement Manager will be optimizing the sourcing, purchasing and inventory levels of the right materials for each application at competitive prices while optimizing the supply chain process. In addition, maintaining the costing of finished goods and performing profitability analysis/variances.

This position encompasses a wide band of execution/hands-on responsibilities and some strategic involvement as well, which can tend towards a Director level role.

Responsibilities:

Liaises with key company employees to determine their product and service needs (Sales, R&D, Production Materials and Supplies, Maintenance, Sanitation, etc) Manages 1 direct report Works the NPD Department in sourcing new materials Handles some RFPs directly and monitors others Monitors business trends and product availability to pay the best price for each cost centers without sacrificing quality, process application or delivery times Nurtures relationships with suppliers to negotiate the best agreements while maintaining great relationships Performs vendor analysis on a regular basis; Identifies and executes changes to buying parameters in a highly efficient manner resulting in improved service levels, lower spoilage and liquidation, and right sized inventory levels Identifies and researches potential new suppliers Insures there are contingency plans in place for each material Sourcing of new products and services to meet company's goals Monitors costs of company purchases versus historical and budget Develops and implements strategies for optimizing the supply chain Plans and monitors the supply chain for regular, seasonal and promotions Create new items in the ERP system Manages costing of finished goods Analyses profitability analysis /skus/customer High involvement with the ERP system and supporting the inventory valuation process

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $100,000.00-$150,000.00 per year
