Counsellor (CCC)

Pay CA$40.00-CA$75.00 per hour

Job Description We are a not for profit mental health service organisation. Our group counselling program practice is growing. This is a fantastic opportunity for a counsellor who does not want to deal with the added responsibility and commitment of starting their own private practice; already have a part time or full-time job and wants to have the flexibility of working from home and choosing the hours that work for them. This is an ideal role for someone, who cherishes work‑life balance.

You will work as an independent contractor, and will be supported by referrals; our virtual counselling digital platform and by administrative staff. No need to market yourself for referrals or be hassled by returning calls or invoicing. You will be supported through the registration process with our contract organisations as well.

Your role as a client centred counsellor would be to do initial assessment, develop and provide personalised treatment and keep client records.

You will be joining a group practice of mental health clinicians who have specialised skills and have already proven themselves to our contracting organisations and will have access to individual and group supervision.

Qualification and Experience

Registered with Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association.

Minimum 5 years of direct counselling experience.

Registered with an applicable provincial college or regulatory body with the ability to provide autonomous counselling services in the province of registration.

Able to provide proof of professional liability insurance and 2 professional references.

Experience working with Indigenous and/or Minors is an asset.

Have a minimum of 1 year experience of providing trauma informed services.

Must have access to secure, reliable internet.
