About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Sr. Solution Architect to join our global technology team. The role is instrumental in architecting and designing innovative solutions on our Salesforce platform, driving digital transformation and enhancing customer experiences across our travel ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
Own the end‑to‑end solution architecture for Salesforce applications across Sales, Service, Experience and Platform capabilities.
Design scalable, secure and resilient Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, and Salesforce APIs.
Define architectural patterns and standards aligned with Salesforce best practices and enterprise principles.
Translate complex business, functional and non‑functional requirements into clear solution designs.
Lead design discussions and architecture reviews with business stakeholders, product teams, developers and external partners.
Drive the introduction and adoption of Einstein, Agentforce and AI‑enabled capabilities into platform solutions where they deliver measurable value.
Platform Architecture, Governance & Quality
Ensure solutions meet performance, scalability, security and compliance requirements across regions and orgs.
Define and enforce governor‑limit‑aware design patterns, security models and data access strategies.
Review and approve technical designs and key implementation decisions.
Establish architectural guardrails to balance speed of delivery with long‑term maintainability.
Partner with development leads to ensure quality, testability and operational readiness.
Design Salesforce‑centric integration architectures with internal and external systems using established patterns.
Define system‑to‑system communication models, including API‑led integrations, event‑driven integrations and near‑real‑time or batch data synchronization.
Provide architectural oversight for data models, data flows, validation and data quality across the ecosystem.
Collaborate with enterprise and integration architects to ensure alignment with the broader technology landscape.
Delivery Enablement & Technical Leadership
Partner with the Product Owner to shape solutions that meet business objectives while remaining scalable and sustainable.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to Salesforce developers and delivery teams.
Act as the escalation point for complex technical and architectural decisions.
Support delivery teams through design clarification, trade‑off analysis and solution optimisation.
Enable consistent delivery through reusable patterns, reference architectures and shared components.
DevOps, Environments & Release Strategy
Define and support environment strategies, deployment models and CI/CD best practices for Salesforce.
Ensure solutions align with established DevOps pipelines, version control standards and change management processes.
Partner with release management to reduce deployment risk and improve release velocity across environments.
Stay current with Salesforce releases, roadmap changes and emerging platform capabilities.
Continuously assess and improve platform architecture to reduce technical debt and improve agility.
Proactively identify opportunities to leverage AI, automation and platform enhancements to increase productivity and business value.
Influence platform strategy by identifying gaps, risks and future‑state improvements.
Architecture Documentation & Deliverables
Solution Architecture Diagrams: End‑to‑end view of components, integrations and data flows.
Integration and Data Flow Designs: System‑to‑system flows, integration patterns, event models and data ownership definitions.
Architecture Decision Records/Log: Documented design decisions, alternatives and rationale.
Non‑functional Requirements: Performance, scalability, security, availability, compliance and data residency.
Architecture Principles, Standards & Guardrails: Declarative vs code rules, integration standards and security patterns.
Reference Architectures & Reusable Patterns: Approved solution patterns for accelerated delivery.
Security & Access Model Design: Role hierarchy, sharing model, permission set strategy and data access controls.
Integration Inventory & API Contracts: Catalogue of integrations, payload schemas, authentication models, SLAs and versioning.
Environment, Deployment & Release Strategy Inputs: Purpose, sequencing, CI/CD alignment and release risk mitigation.
Future‑State Architecture & Technical Debt Register: Target‑state designs, gaps, risks and remediation path.

Experience & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field is desirable but not mandatory.
Equivalently practical experience designing and delivering enterprise Salesforce solutions may be considered in lieu of formal education or certifications.

Salesforce Certified AI Associate
Preferred Certifications:
Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II
Salesforce Sales Cloud Consultant
Salesforce Service Cloud Consultant
Salesforce Certified AI Specialist
At least two certifications from the Salesforce Architect Path (e.g., Integration Architecture Designer, Data Architecture Designer, Sharing & Visibility Designer).
Formal or practical training in distributed systems & integration patterns, API design, identity & security concepts and architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or C4 model.
10+ years of project experience in a hands‑on solution and architecture design role.
Experience with Sales, Service, Omni‑Channel, Service Cloud Voice, Data Cloud and integration patterns.
Strong knowledge of Salesforce out‑of‑the‑box functionality, security and best practices.
Firm understanding of object‑oriented techniques and SDLC within Agile/Scrum teams.
Experience with DevOps‑enabled Salesforce teams and AI (LLM, Generative, Agentic).
Experience in the travel industry is an asset but not required.

Salary
Annual salary range: $159,000 – $168,000 (base salary depends on experience, location and job requirements).
