Overview

The position is for a Sourcing Transformation Expert within Airbus Canada, based in Mirabel (Québec, Canada), part of the Digital & Business Transformation team. The role focuses on transforming sourcing and supplier readiness for current and potential new aircraft programs, collaborating with multiple functions, and leading multi‑functional teams to deliver initiatives on time, cost, and quality.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement a Make-or-Buy framework and a company-wide heatmap to assess functional readiness and inform make, buy, or SLA decisions.
Assess and enhance organizational readiness by evaluating resources, data, tools, and processes against standards; identify critical gaps impacting core/non-core or make/buy strategies.
Design and deploy a strategic sourcing plan to establish an optimal global supplier landscape guided by the make/buy policy.
Oversee end-to-end sourcing and contract management, including tender lifecycle planning, execution, contracts, and performance monitoring; lead or contribute to cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and execution.
Support and participate in supplier governance with the Procurement function to ensure effective communication, performance monitoring, issue resolution, and supplier readiness.
Develop and communicate strategic insights using visualizations and analyses based on contract planning and supplier performance data to inform senior leadership decisions.
Identify and mitigate program risks related to program readiness and sourcing strategies with proposed mitigation plans.

Your Challenges
Drive Strategic Make-or-Buy Framework development and maintain a heatmap to guide decisions.
Assess and enhance organizational readiness with functional leaders to meet Minimum Viable Company standards.
Champion strategic sourcing and partnerships within multifunctional teams.
Oversee end-to-end sourcing and contract management; coordinate cross‑functional teams for readiness and strategic sourcing initiatives.
Support supplier governance with Procurement for consistent communication and performance monitoring.
Develop and communicate strategic insights to inform decision forums and investment strategies.
Identify and mitigate program risks related to readiness and sourcing strategies with mitigation plans.
Your Boarding Pass
Project & Procurement Leadership: Experience in strategic project sourcing and procurement; project management and purchasing certifications (PMP, CPP) are a plus.
Strategic Financial Acumen: Expertise in Make-Buy, cost optimization, Business Case Analysis, and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
Digital & Data Savvy: Experience with digital transformation and data‑driven reporting/visualization; data analysis tools are a plus.
Business Process Improvement: Strong background in business analysis and process improvement in complex organizations.
Aerospace Industry Experience: Direct aerospace sector experience.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Project Management, or related field.
Communication: Bilingual in French and English with strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence.
Adaptive & Analytical: Analytical, problem‑solving, and adaptable in fast‑paced, multifunctional environments.
