Presidential Data Fellowships Western University is requesting applications for up to five Presidential Data Fellowships for the 2020 competition. These innovative, elite, research‑focused postdoctoral positions are ideally suited for applicants who wish to pursue an academic career and include opportunities to participate in curriculum design and delivery. Successful applicants will be outstanding scholars and teachers who have demonstrated great potential for continued contributions to research and teaching.

Responsibilities

Spend approximately 80% of your time working on primary research with a faculty mentor.

Dedicate the remaining 20% to the design and delivery of innovative data science training.

Qualifications

Completed at least a PhD in data science or a related area.

Significant experience in developing and applying contemporary data science techniques, including but not limited to machine learning, artificial intelligence, data analytics, statistics, related methods, and their social interfaces.

At least one reference commenting on your teaching abilities.
