We are looking for a talented leader with a strong technical and management background, reporting to the Director of Prepaid Technology at the Rogers Park Brampton Campus. As a Sr.DevOpsManager, you will lead your team to engineer, scale, and optimise our BSS platform. You will manage cloud Infrastructure and cost, continuous integration and continuous delivery to ensure a scalable and secure platform, NPE ENVs and releases. This position also requires creativity and innovation, strong communication skills, and collaborate with various cross-functional teams across Rogers.
What you will be doing:
Responsible for overseeing a DevOps team in a hybrid environment. The team consists of off and on shore resources that will be tasked to deliver value. The role requires exceptional versatility, including team leadership, technology, and Agile planning and communication. The Sr. DevOps Manager is required to:
Coordinate with Sr. Delivery Manager and Sr. Manager Development to ensure alignment across prepaid wireless business partners
Manage, negotiate, and coordinate with technology, and business stakeholders on prioritization of tactical and strategic technology initiatives within prepaid BSS and payment platform
Oversee the design, maintenance, and scaling of cloud infrastructure
Define the DevOps roadmap, align infrastructure strategies with business goals, and drive adoption of best practices
Implement security best practices (DevSecOps) and ensure data governance and regulatory compliance
Manage BSS NPE (non-production ENVs) to ensure E2E stability
Optimize and manage software release processes to ensure fast, safe, and automated delivery
Work closely with teams such as development, security, production support, QA, solution, etc. to streamline workflows and improve software delivery
Manage DevOps budgets and optimise cloud spend
Mentor and develop DevOps engineers, foster collaboration, and align the team's efforts with overall objectives
Extend expertise across multiple technical domains; manage risks associated with DevOps and Infra, incorporate risk planning and mitigation
Participate and support all the Agile Ceremonies e.g. PI Planning, Sprint Review, Demo
Manage partnerships with external vendors and accountabilities from those vendors to Rogers
What you Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background
10+ years of progressive development and/or DevOps experience managing increasing project size and complexity
5+ years of leadership experience in customer‑centric organizations
Deep knowledge of Linux, Kubernetes/Docker, Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), and IaC tools
Hands on scripting knowledge of Shell (Bash), Perl and Python scripting
Good working knowledge of Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform, Apache Maven or Apache Ant, Git, Bitbucket and Ansible etc.
Working experience on CloudWatch, Kibana, Grafana, Dynatrace, and relevant monitoring tools
Nice to have an AWS solution architect or system developer certification
Nice to have working knowledge of Couchbase, CloudFormation, Camunda and Cassandra
Knowledge of IT operations and security best practices in an always‑up, always‑available service
