The individual plays a key role in the creation of brand content that aims to enhance brand affinity. The incumbent is responsible for the development of captivating video content that aligns with Air Canada's brand vision and goals.
The individual manages the production of high‑quality video content for different platforms and channels – such as social media, digital and broadcast – ensuring that the content fits the brand voice and meets the expectations and requirements of the potential audiences.
The individual is responsible for the timely and cost‑effective delivery of creative content assets from concept to completion. Their role also involves managing a network of external resources and collaborating with creative and production agencies.
This hands‑on position requires a motivated self‑starter who can work in a fast‑paced and deadline‑driven environment. The candidate must have excellent organizational and time‑management skills, as well as attention to detail and accuracy.
Responsibilities
Produce video content from concept to execution that align with Air Canada's brand goals and identity.
Plan and develop video concepts, scripts, storyboards, and treatments in collaboration with campaign managers, producers, directors, writers, etc.
Collaborate with video directors, camera operators, sound recordists, editors, animators, and other video production staff / freelancers.
Secure necessary permits, licenses, locations, talent, and equipment for video shoots.
Lead on‑set/field activities, including directing, camera operation, sound recording, lighting, set design, talent, etc.
Monitor and control the quality, style, and tone of the video content, ensuring that it meets the expectations and objectives.
Story edit and create paper edits/scripts to help guide post‑production.
Manage the post‑production process, including editing, color grading, sound mixing, music, etc.
Manage production budget, timeline, and internal and external resources, and ensure adherence to the best practices and standards.
Qualifications
Bachelor degree in journalism, advertising, film, media, communication, or a related field.
5+ years of relevant work experience & proven portfolio of creative work that demonstrates originality, creativity, storytelling, innovation, and impact.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in meeting critical deadlines.
Strong creative thinking, leadership, execution, organizational, and management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines while motivating and developing a diverse and talented team.
Confident troubleshooting skills in high‑pressure environments.
Proficient in the use of creative tools and software, such as Adobe Creative Suite.
Demonstrate punctuality and dependability to support overall team success in a fast‑paced environment.
Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset.
Conditions Of Employment
