Schedule: 7 on /7 off (Compressed Work Schedule)
Compensation Details
Vacation pay at 6% – paid out bi‑weekly upon start date

Role Summary
The Site Manager oversees daily operations at the site, ensuring everything runs smoothly. Key responsibilities include scheduling employees to ensure adequate coverage, organizing training sessions, and conducting performance reviews. The Site Manager enforces workplace policies and procedures, maintains a safe working environment, and ensures compliance with time and budget constraints. Additionally, they are responsible for meeting quality standards.
Primary Responsibilities
Audit progress of on‑going projects – keeps upper‑level management informed of project status and any special concerns and ensures adherence to approved plans and specifications.
Critically review work orders, invoices, packing slips, LEM’s, etc. to determine accuracy, conformance to contractual commitments, etc.
Inspect job sites to ensure conformance of subcontractors and site employees to established worksite policies and practices.
Ensure safety and quality assurance programs are observed.
Understand contracting methods, scheduling and blueprint reading.
Ensure that the project is built to the Client’s drawings & specifications.
Assist with maintaining the contracting schedule and work efficiency over the course of the entire duration of the project.
Conduct Lost Prevention Observation (LPO) with Site Safety.
Execute and manage the operational budget.
Ensure continual open communication and strong working relationships are maintained with clients and client representatives.
Meet regularly with site leadership to review current policies and procedures to ensure Bouchier is compliant.
Perform miscellaneous job‑related duties as assigned.
Manage conflict and resolve issues as they occur.
Manage all sub‑trades, workers and suppliers, ensuring that they perform according to their contract.
Maintain detailed activity records and prepares activity reports.
Ensure compliance with corporate policies and mandates of local, provincial, and federal agencies.
Represent the organization at site meetings, business meetings, supplier and contractor sites.
Review and administer short and medium range operational plans, goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures; monitor and evaluate program effectiveness; assist to effect changes required for improvement.
Other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
Minimum of 10 years of experience in oil sands and light civil construction, demonstrating extensive industry knowledge and expertise is required.
Minimum of 7–10 years of experience in a leadership role, showing a strong background in managing teams and operations effectively is required.
Valid Class 5 Driver’s License is required.
Class 1 or 3 license is considered an asset.
CSO (Common Safety Orientation) Certificate is required
WHMIS 2015 is required
Post‑secondary diploma or degree in related field
Successful progression through roles
Previous experience managing 200+ employees is an asset
Advanced knowledge of the MS Office Suite.
Previous experience with Maximo is considered an asset.
Adaptable to changing work environment.
Proven conflict resolution skills.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Good organizational skills (ability to multi‑task, prioritize and work efficiently).
Ability to demonstrate and apply sound judgment to work situations.
Ability to deliver with tight deadlines.
Excellent computer skills using Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point
Ability to read and understand construction work packages and related documents
Ability to make sound decisions using standard procedures
