Our global manufacturing client is looking for a Senior Cost Analyst who will assist the Controller in the assessment of company performance by study and analysis of financial and operational data. The Cost Analyst will act as a catalyst in the continuous improvement process by supplying analytical support to the operational areas.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Senior Cost Analyst:

Review, develop, and maintain standard costs for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods across all business units.

Analyze cost variances (material, labor, and overhead) and provide actionable insights to operations and management.

Work closely with plant operations and supply chain teams to understand product flows, BOMs, and manufacturing processes.

Assist in the development and optimization of product costing logic, including setup of cost drivers, routings, and BOM groupings (one-to-one or category-based).

Conduct margin and profitability analysis at the material, customer, and product line levels.

Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes with accurate cost rollups, inventory valuations, and journal entries.

Collaborate with IT and finance teams to enhance ERP costing functionality and resolve costing discrepancies.

Lead and be responsible for standard cost revaluation processes.

Support internal and external audit processes related to inventory and cost accounting. TMGNY Job Requirements:
