Overview
We are currently recruiting for a specialized Insurance Agency Manager role with a well-established organization in the property & casualty insurance and ancillary products space. This position is responsible for leading and supervising a virtual insurance agency, ensuring full regulatory compliance across multiple provinces and territories, coaching a small team of licensed agents, and driving continuous improvement in distribution standards and agency performance.
What you will be doing
Lead the design and ongoing improvement of national distribution standards for a suite of automobile damage insurance and ancillary protection products
Supervise, coach, mentor and train a small team of licensed general insurance agents
Perform quality assurance file reviews and monitor compliance with internal practices and provincial regulations
Act as the licensed nominee for the agency, serving as the primary point of contact for regulatory inquiries, complaints, and audits
Prepare supervision reports, document interventions, follow up on corrective actions, and enforce regulatory policies
Analyze monitoring reports (daily/monthly), conduct internal controls, and implement process improvements
Manage onboarding, training, continuing education, and licensing requirements for agents
Collaborate with internal compliance, operations, and partner teams to deliver exceptional client service while upholding high professional and ethical standards
What you must have
CIP (Chartered Insurance Professional) designation – completed
Active Property & Casualty Insurance Agent license in good standing in at least one Canadian province.
Minimum 5 years of experience actively holding and using a P&C agent license
Fully bilingual – fluent spoken and written English and French (fluent spoken French is a strict requirement)
Proven experience managing or supervising insurance agents or similar licensed professionals
Strong knowledge of P&C insurance regulations and compliance requirements
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills
Ability to work autonomously under pressure with high levels of rigor
Nice to have
Additional provincial P&C licenses
Experience with virtual/remote agency models
Background in automobile-related ancillary or warranty products
Salary/Rate Range
$80,000 – $85,000 CAD + excellent benefits Full-time, permanent
