Job Details We are hiring for this position out of our Toronto and Vancouver office. Successful candidates who apply outside of these areas will be expected to relocate and reside in a location that is within a commutable distance.

Description The Senior Manager, Banking Administration & Treasury Operations is a leadership role responsible for overseeing the operational integrity of banking administration, mid-office settlements, and treasury support functions. This role ensures seamless execution of financial transactions, supports liquidity and funding strategies, and drives operational excellence across treasury.

About the day-to-day

Lead banking administration, and treasury support activities across various Financial Institutions

Build and maintain relationships with Fis to access banking service solutions.

Ensure compliance with internal controls, regulatory requirements (e.g., OSFI,), and Payments Canada rules.

Act as a key liaison between Corporate Treasury, Payment Operations, and Finance, teams.

Support onboarding and maintenance of banking relationships, account structures, and payment channels.

Act as a liaison between treasury and payment operations to ensure alignment on liquidity flows.

Lead the delivery of mid office services - including settlement of derivatives, fixed income security sale/purchase, and collateral management.

Collaborate with payment rail managers/leads to perform cash and collateral management.

Ensure timely execution of treasury-related payments.

Contribute to cash forecasting and intraday liquidity reporting.

Drive process improvements, automation, and system enhancements to improve operational efficiency.

Support implementation of payment initiatives (e.g., RTR, real-time payments).

Participate in risk reviews, audits, and regulatory reporting.

About the qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or CPA/CFA preferred.

5-7 years of experience in banking operations, treasury, or payment settlements, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.

Deep understanding of Canadian payment systems, liquidity management, and settlement processes.

Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks and operational risk management

About the work environment Peoples Group offers a flexible and hybrid work environment. In this role you will work a combination of in-office and remotely from home. Typically, you'll be working regular business hours, Monday to Friday between 8:00am and 4:30pm with flexibility around start/end times.

Compensation The expected salary for this role is approximately $100,000.00 - $125,000.00 annually. Actual compensation may vary based on experience, skills, and qualifications.
