Lori Pinkowski, one of the top Portfolio Managers at Canaccord Genuity and a well‑known financial expert in the media, is seeking a full‑time licensed Investment Associate to join her team in our downtown Vancouver office.

Canaccord Genuity is a full‑service financial services firm committed to building lasting client relationships. As a key member of the Pinkowski Wealth Management team, the Senior Investment Associate plays a central role in managing discretionary portfolios and supporting clients.

We are looking for a proactive, detail‑oriented, and analytical professional who thrives in a fast‑paced, investment‑focused environment. The ideal candidate takes ownership and accountability for day‑to‑day portfolio needs, executes trades with precision, ensures alignment with portfolio mandates, and contributes to process improvements and being a team player. Strong communication, relationship‑building, and organizational skills, along with a collaborative and client‑focused mindset, are essential.

Skills & Qualifications

CIRO‑licensed (CSC, CPH, WME completed);

3–5 years of relevant investment or wealth management experience;

Strong understanding of portfolio management, market fundamentals, and risk management;

Excellent communication and writing skills;

Analytical mindset with natural curiosity and strong critical reasoning;

Positive, proactive attitude and ability to work both independently and collaboratively;

High attention to detail;

Strong Excel skills (experience building tools, models, or analytics is an asset);

Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi‑task and work under pressure;

Experience in a trading or discretionary portfolio environment is an asset;

Knowledge of Dataphile, YCharts, Envestnet, or Salesforce is an asset.

Responsibilities

Execute equity, fixed income, and FX trades across client accounts;

Monitor and rebalance discretionary model portfolios, including investing incoming funds to maintain alignment with mandates;

Manage day‑to‑day portfolio administration and support onboarding for new and transferring clients;

Prepare customized client reports, portfolio reviews, market updates, and financial summaries;

Assist in preparing and presenting investment proposals for prospective clients;

Support marketing and business development efforts by creating pitch materials, competitor analyses, and prospect‑focused content;

Contribute to brand‑building initiatives such as radio/podcast scripting, client communications, and digital content;

Participate in special projects, including large‑scale account transfers, tax loss selling, and mandate reviews.
