Here's how you will contribute to the success of the company Our team plays a key role in ensuring Sherweb’s long-term financial health and compliance. In this position, you will support that mission by managing key tax compliance activities and preparing monthly vendor incentive claims. You’ll collaborate closely with multiple internal departments and report directly to the Financial Controller. Your work will help maintain accurate financial records, ensure timely filings, and support the company’s ability to secure important vendor incentives.

Here's what your day-to-day will look like in this role Tax Compliance & Reporting

Prepare and file U.S. and Canadian indirect tax returns, including Canadian sales tax filings.

Compile information required for annual Canadian and U.S. tax returns.

Monitor and follow up on correspondence from tax authorities (e.g., notices of assessment, statements of account, refund notices).

Support the preparation of tax-related documentation for the year-end audit.

Accounting & Reconciliation

Perform monthly reconciliations for various general ledger accounts.

Assist the accounting team with operational tasks as needed.

Develop, document, and maintain internal procedures to support accuracy and efficiency.

Vendor Incentive Programs

Prepare templates and gather supporting documentation for vendor incentive programs.

Coordinate with internal teams to collect proof of execution and ensure claims are completed accurately and submitted on time.

Act as a communication bridge between Sherweb and external partners regarding incentive claims.

Here's what you need to have and master to get the job

A post‑secondary diploma or technical degree in accounting, administration, office automation, or another relevant field.

Strong proficiency in Excel, including functions such as VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP and the ability to build and analyze pivot tables.

One to three years of experience in a similar accounting, tax, or finance role.

Fully bilingual in French and English, with the ability to communicate clearly in both languages.

Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, especially when working with financial data and tax filings.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple recurring deadlines.

Adaptability and a willingness to support the broader accounting team when needed.

Available to work hybrid: 3 days from the Sherbrooke office and 2 days from home.
