Your Next Challenge

Reporting to the Network and Telecom Global Manager, you will be part of the Information Technology Department. You will provide technical ownership for networks that span across the entire enterprise, satisfy business requirements, and are highly available. You must have a broad technical base spanning IP network operation, unified communications/VoIP, and monitoring technology and the interconnectivity between them as well as a strong understanding of wireless technology.

Design, implement, and operate global multi-vendor communications equipment including firewalls, routers, switches, wireless access points, LTE/5G, SD WAN and NAC.

Design, implement, and operate global communications infrastructure consisting of satellite links, microwave point-point technologies, VPN concentrators, and provider managed MPLS

Manage all aspects of internal and external IP networks, demonstrating excellent knowledge of IP routing and the supporting protocols (BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP)

Provide escalation support for the global communications infrastructure to a globally distributed team of IT professionals, escalating to vendors when necessary

Regularly monitor network performance and capacity to ensure equipment and services are functioning and operating at optimal capacity

Advise local IT staff of outages and problems with the network when required

Manage relationships with 3rd party vendors and consultants

Presentation skills with the ability to communicate complicated network technology and designs to audiences with various technical backgrounds.

Maintain professional certification levels to meet vendor requirements

Conduct network test plans, perform testing in labs, and identify technical and operational issues to management.

Regularly engaged in day-to-day service assurance providing support to all global regions.

Conduct performance-tuning on network hardware/software technology

Initiate and implement all projects with inclusion of safe and secure practices

Coordinate and execute after hours changes including upgrades, hardware replacements and disruptive changes.

Possess the technical ability to understand, evaluate, and implement wireless technology and support LTE/5G deployments.

Provide escalation support for the global wireless infrastructure to a globally distributed team of IT professionals, escalating to vendors when necessary

Advise and support global IT staff who are engaged in wireless system upgrades

Good working knowledge of the day-to-day operating environment, available tools, operating techniques, and end-user applications used with wireless technology (WIFI) as well as LTE/5G.

Possess the technical ability to understand, evaluate, and implement unified communications and other collaboration solutions

Provide escalation support for the global communications infrastructure to a globally distributed team of IT professionals, escalating to vendors when necessary

Advise and support global IT staff who are engaged in unified communications/VoIP system upgrades

Maintain global voice dialing plan and advice when upgrades to global voice systems is required

Integrate global unified communications infrastructure with 3rd party systems used for radio and push

Good working knowledge of the day-to-day operating environment, available tools, operating techniques, and end-user applications used with unified communications environments.

Possess the technical ability to understand, evaluate, and implement network and other security solutions

Aid in the development of cybersecurity policy and technical areas including data classification, access controls, security controls, remote access, network access control, security monitoring, auditing, and reporting

Maintain a good working knowledge of the day-to-day operating environment, available tools, operating techniques, and end-user applications.

Configure, Operate and Maintain Firewalls (Palo Alto and Fortinet);

Configure, operate and Maintain NAC solution (Aruba Clearpass)

Ensure Cybersecurity standards are applied to your practice.

What You Need To Succeed

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Studies or equivalent work experience

Excellent knowledge of WAN optimization (SD-WAN);

Mastering of network architectures, design and operation;

Excellent knowledge of firewall concept, rules and operations (Palo Alto and Fortinet);

Mastering of QoS concept (DSCP, tagging, policing, shaping);

Good knowledge of RF parameter for Satellite links (SNR, Eb/N0, RSSI, etc.);

Intermediate level knowledge of Microsoft Office and Active Directory.

Eagerness to learn and troubleshoot new technologies with proven problem solving and analytical skills;

Working knowledge of Network access solutions and 802.1x authentication (Clearpass)

Understanding international business operations and ability to understand and adapt to different cultures.

Ability to travel to and from datacenters with critical hardware.

Excellent troubleshooting skills including the ability to work with vendors, technical staff and non-technical staff.

Intermediate understanding of certificates and PKI infrastructure.

Your Work Schedule

Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, based at the Corporate Office in Toronto, ON. Occasional visits to site may be required.
