About The Role The Manager, Renewals and Benefits Analytics leads the regional renewals function and oversees a team of analysts responsible for financial review, reporting, and carrier negotiations for group benefits clients. This role is central to ensuring renewal deliverables are accurate, strategic, and aligned with HUB’s client service standards.

You will be a trusted analytical partner to Employee Benefits Consultants, regional Advisors, and carrier partners, developing renewal strategies that balance client objectives with market realities. As a people leader, you will coach and develop analysts, establish best practices, peer review client documents, manage team workflow and drive consistency.

This is an ideal role for someone who combines strong technical benefits knowledge with leadership, communication, and commercial judgment.

What You’ll Do Leadership and Team Development

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Renewals Analysts, providing coaching on technical analysis, communication, and client service

Assign and prioritize work across the team to meet regional deadlines and service expectations

Establish training plans and support career development for analysts, including actuarial or CEBS pathways

Act as an escalation point for complex analyses requiring senior level input

Lead change management initiatives within the analytical team, ensuring learning and adoption of new tools/capabilities

Act as a floater as required for any complex report preparation or staff absences

Renewal Strategy and Execution

Oversee the preparation of renewal analyses, financial projections, and client presentations

Ensure renewal recommendations align with department strategy and client objectives

Review and approve client ready reports, PowerPoint presentations, and financial summaries

Collaboration and Stakeholder Management

Build strong relationships with Employee Benefits Consultants and regional Advisors, understanding their book of business and service expectations to deliver tailored technical analysis and support.

Work closely with national analytics and actuarial teams to ensure consistency in methodology

Support new business initiatives by providing financial modeling and benchmarking insights

Build strong relationships with carrier partners to support negotiation and service delivery

Process and Quality Management

Providing strong analytical and technical support on mid to large clients

Peer reviewing and providing feedback on work for team members

Establish standards for data integrity, assumption setting, and documentation

Identify opportunities to improve renewal workflows and reporting tools

Support the adoption of PowerBI and other analytics platforms

Ensure compliance with privacy, confidentiality, and regulatory requirements

What You’ll Need for Success

Post-secondary education in Commerce, Mathematics, Actuarial Sciences, Human Resources, or related field

3 to 5 years of experience in group benefits, renewals, underwriting, or benefits consulting

Prior experience leading or mentoring analysts is strongly preferred

Strong understanding of group benefits pricing, funding arrangements, and carrier practices

Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial modeling

PowerBI experience considered an asset

Completion or progress toward CEBS, actuarial designation, or LLQP considered an asset

Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical analysis into clear client messages

Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment

Strong judgment, attention to detail, and client service mindset

Compensation The expected salary range for this position is $80,000 to $110,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level.
